Daddy sang that to my sister and me when he put us to bed around 1950. First time I've heard this in decades. Brings back so many good memories.

It doesn't get better than that. Bob Wills is smiling down on them. That L5 with the DeArmond pickup sounds so good.

I Like this. Real Cool♫♪♫♫ Thanks.♥ December 1st.,2020 ♦ From Brooklyn, New York.♫♪♫♫
This trio has more drive then a band 3 times as big. And no pedal steel or piano or brass section.

Yep. Jake's great URB playing (he's the bass player AND ersatz drummer) lets Elana and Whit be able to do that interplay so nicely.

Obviously excellent musicians! And great music. The only thing that they are missing is a steel guitarist in the same tradition as Leon McAuliffe.🎻🎸

@NickRatnieks6 жыл бұрын
Whit does own a 1928 L5 Gibson but the guitar in this clip is his regular workhorse- a 1946 Gibson L5 that somebody sawed a great big cutaway out of the body. He has an added pickup for an electric sound.

@@NickRatnieks I have to give kudos to the soundman for being able to move each respective instrument in and out with perfect timing. I hadn't noticed it before, but it's quite apparent that brought up and then down at the exact right moment. Kudos.

@@alext8828 Yes, it does sound great. I have seen them three times and they seems to get a good balanced sound in their shows. I have managed to chat to them each time and they are great individuals. I have a nice signed photo of the band. I must try and see them again but sadly, they have not played anywhere near me on their most recent trips over here.
