Last quarter was my worst quarter in my sales career. Fortunately I'm trending well for Q4 so far. If this shit was easy everyone would do it Matt! In my opinion, the best AEs can take a PIP in stride, and come out the other side healthier. You are an everyday average seller and thats why we love watching your content. We go through the same things you do and some of these content creators just have one big feeder account, lazy living and creating videos acting like they do what we do. Your role IS unique but your top-tier strength is in discovery and proposal meetings. Askign questions, active listening, and I think that is your best content! Day in the life watching you run your meetings. Keep up the great work Matt and dont let the sales rollercoaster or haters bring you down!

Remember about cold - calling... A single call doesn't totally define you and your success. When you hang up a single call your world doesn't emotionally have to change. Be courageous - in all honesty you're safe. I believe in you. Do the dials.

I've been in sales jobs for over 30 years and, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter if you don't reach a target. After all, you never read someones obituary and it says: "But in Q3 of 2004, they didn't hit quota" Sure, it''s not a great feeling but family, friends and health are far more important than hitting quota.

Very interesting to hear, Matt. I've always thought that despite Enterprise having these huge potential numbers, Mid-Market is actually probably more consistently lucrative as it's much more in your control. Maybe I am wrong on that but that's how it looks from a current SDR looking up.

It's about averages at the end of the day. As long as your activities are there and you're performing at a high level, then the numbers will follow. I wouldn't worry about a pip etc if you're over your annual targets. Just heard the rest of the video. Activities solve this. You need to have multiple reliable sources of new business. Run some automations or hire someone to do the grunt work of the prospecting if necessary but you need daily non negotiables to make sure your plate is full 3 months from now
