i have this engine for 3 days it runs good but i have a problem with the spokes of the wheel they are not tights anymore .
@seedlessgrapes26054 жыл бұрын
This will happen a lot if you install the sprocket incorrectly when you're tightening the spokes they are reverse thread and the spoke that goes to the right side of the wheel will pull it to the left when you tighten it. So if you want to straighten your wheel ask me another question, I'll try to make it more clear, but it has to do with your sprocket. You have to make those bolts really tight. Otherwise, it will shift and hurt your spokes eventually breaking them.

Integgy if your kill switch is still hooked up cut one of the kill switch wires and that will tell you if the kill switch is grounding out and of course make sure your spark plug is good but I'm one of the people that doesn't obsess over spark plugs I've had the same spark plug for 10,000 miles they last a long time but most likely it's your Magneto but try cutting the wire for the kill switch if that doesn't work you can also check the connections where you plug the wires from the Magneto to the coil I always solder those myself just to make sure there's no problems

I'm sure I could add an aftermarket air filter or a bigger car but I'm one of those people I've never modified not even a boost bottle not even an exhaust I like that they're super cheap and I don't expect much out of it and just ride the hell out of it

99% of getting a motorize bike to work correctly is setting up properly at the start. Make sure the wheels are true and the spokes are tights, check the bearing pre-loads, make sure everything is aligned properly and all adjustments are correct. I have a suspicion that the people that have poor performance from these bikes don't know anything about proper assembly and adjustments.

@@seedlessgrapes2605 Just subbed! Thanks for the content- I like the way you present the information. I run a kit rag joint sprocket and I've had zero problems with it. But it did take me about 5 or 6 hours over two days to get it set up exactly correct- no side to side or up or down wobble greater than 1mm. I think that is where most people fail in building the bike- they don't know how to get a gear set to zero. Also, I've found some of the main crank to clutch sprockets to be out of round. This will cause premature failure of the bearing and a noisy gear set. The only way to check it is with a dial indicator. Replace it if it's bad and make sure the backlash is less than .030" It really helps to go over the motors before firing it up for the first time. I've found casting slag, dust, grit, and other contaminates inside the motors. Giving them a good clean and fresh oil coating before the first firing up will go a long way to thousands of trouble free miles.

I find this video to be quite intriguing. im about to take mine 2700 miles to Arizona from NY in a month,....and im SUPER NERVOUS about not making it/something breaking. but you----and this video-----are calming me WAYYY down. thank you. the one and only thing I find disturbing about your bike is the no air filter. shit IS going in there. I hate to tell you. your rear wheel picks up dirt and crap,...and THROWS it right at that opening. (the same way you get the mud stripe on your back with no fenders) I would put the stock air cleaner back on there before its too late. the stock air cleaner offers VERY little restriction, and WILL protect your motor. you happened to receive a good motor from china. you are VERY lucky. don't RUIN it!! getting a real solid motor out of the box from china is rare,..REALLY rare,.... and you're about to score the paper-thin,...super-delicate chrome plated cylinder wall. and then,....your beautiful and RARE perfect motor will be just another pile of scrap. makes me want to cry.

I have put several of these together. I have one that has several thousand miles on it, but the motor has become very weak. I plan to rebuild that one, making three I have that run. I have put together and rebuilt a number of them. I'm the real deal, I ride these bikes all over the back roads of Montana, which I plan to youtube next year. There are not very many of us that are dedicated to building and riding motorized bikes.

@seedlessgrapes26055 жыл бұрын
As long as you're not planning on riding it everyday then get a four stroke or if you're only going to ride it for like 5 minutes per day the four-stroke is fine but honestly I only know about the cheap four stroke kids maybe they made a better one but if you have to use but a fat crank to clear the motor that is a big No-No those are weak Chinese crank sets that can break easily and it just not comfortable to ride
@stephenandloriyoung57164 жыл бұрын
@@seedlessgrapes2605 I have two of the 49cc four strokes. One is on a Huffy Cranbrook, the other is on an anonymous bike my grandson dragged home. The 4 strokes, though more expensive, have some advantages over the two 66 cc two strokes I did first. Besides the cleaner exhaust, smoother idle and better low end torque, and not having to mix oil and gas, there is the pull start and the centrifugal clutch. These advantages are not without offsets - you don't have to mix oil with the gas, but you do have to check the level and remember to change the oil. You don't have to pedal to start, but you give up the advantage of being able to do an extended cranking time - you get about a second's spin per pull. You don't have to operate the clutch, but then...you can't operate the clutch, to rev up the engine without load. You know, to impress the locals at the stop lights. A fairly happy compromise is the electric start BT-80 two stroke - it's the smoothest but smokiest unit in our little three vehicle, seven wheel fleet. (It's on a trike.) I used my original crank arms on the four strokes - heated and bent them for clearance. May you enjoy many more thousands of miles of safe and economical travels.

I should have said "original crank arms and shafts" there. Bent the arms, left the shafts alone. S.

These engines will last a long time if you take care of them. You may want to consider changing the chain though, because as the chain wears, it'll start shaving away at the drive sprocket and your wheels sprocket. eventually it'll get so bad that every time you replace one of those sprockets within a month the chain will eat them away to nothing.
@patrickmchose74722 жыл бұрын
On motorcycles we change the chain and both sprockets at the same time.
@nicholasparry6859 Жыл бұрын
Should change the sprockets when you do the chain. It's not a bicycle sprocket. They take a much harder beating and the pitch should match for proper wearing.
