Honestly, I hear a lot of what makes your channel special in this video. In particular, too many Booktubers give basically the same description, which is pointless, I can read the Goodreads/publisher summary myself. I'm here so I can hear about what you thought of a book, so I'm glad that's what you spend your time on!

this video is a good example of the truism that what many people think of as problems or shortcomings really aren't that at all especially when compared to the things others have to deal with. I've seen MANY badly done yt videos not just the book review kind but on just about every subject you can imagine and some are even downright offensive to any normal person but are not taken off. I appreciate that you're not afraid to own up to what you see as mistakes though unfortunately admitting to errors doesn't always earn approval from others but may even be seen as a sign of weakness and an invitation to further criticism. Even nice people will sometimes do this but I guess that's just what we call human nature haha.. be well and keep up the GREAT work!⚛

I recently subscribed to your channel and I have found many books to add to my TBR list. I like that you do not give an entire synopsis of a book. You give enough of a teaser to make it interesting. I also like that you often mention or talk about the classic version of a trope or story line and then suggest a more modern version. No one else seems to do this and I like it because it gives some background to a genre or a sub-genre that I can check out for myself. Finally, you give very specific reasons why you like or don't like a particular book and if you didn't like a book you say so without trashing the author, the book itself, or readers who might actually like the book. I like that you often mention that you had fun reading a book. Reading is supposed to be fun. You get straight to the point and don't spend too long on any one book. And you don't review the same books that others do which is awesome. Thanks so much for all that you do on this channel.

You're the only booktuber who's every video is a Must Watch for me. We have very similar likes and dislikes - and your reviews are exactly what I'm looking for: tone, setting, plot setup, technical execution and major takeaways. Exactly what I need to determine if a book is for me, and not so much that the experience of letting the book unfold is ruined. I don't mind the lack of whizzbang technical effects or artistry; I've usually got youtube going on a sidemonitor while I'm working on other monitors. Keep doing what you're doing, you're awesome.

I don't often comment but I feel some kind of way about this really early into this video. Anyone who wants to correct you on names or titles, mistakes you make, etc... you are here doing the daggone thing. Are they? You are amazing and brave, doing something that is important to you. I love that you are living out one of your passions and being authentic. So I know it is difficult to be judged by people, but my encouragement is to try not to focus on people who want to bring you down. You are human and you make mistakes like every other person, and anyone who wants to point them out is the problem and not you 💕 I wish I had the grit to start a KZbin channel and you should be super proud of yourself for all that you do! 😊

Your synopsis are perfect, you give enough information about what the book is about and without spoilers. Sometimes other BookTubers will mention something that might not be important to the plot but would still be more fun to find out while reading the book and for me that is a spoiler. So if it’s a book on my tbr or I know I will read soon I usually skip that part of the review, but I know I don’t have to worry about that with your reviews. I also don’t like hate rants, I have stopped watching some BookTubers because of that and it wasn’t like they were ranting on books I like, I just don’t like that kind of negativity. As for the rest of what you do “bad”, I find no issue with, your channel is all about the books and that is enjoyable to watch just as a much as the other more “fancier” channels.

I like your vids. They’re informative and impart what I want to know about the books you recommend. Know that you can’t please everyone, and watchers will run you ragged with customization. On the flip side, one of the tubers I watch gives away far too much-under the guise of warnings. One picks her nose on almost every vid she does, and too many tubers to count aggravate me with their constant hair flipping/touching. Your reviews are a respite from all of that.
