How do you stay so calm in front of a audience? Whenever I perform in front of my class my knees literally shake because of how nervous I am. Amazing job!

I used to have the worst stage fright! (and I still struggle with it) Being nervous can actually be a good thing because it means that you really care about what you are doing. How I learned to control my nerves is to 1.) sing in front of different people as often as possible. The more you do it, the more confident you will feel the next time. 2.) remind yourself of why you are singing and what you story you have to share - this helps take the pressure off of you as a person and can help turn those nerves into excitement and charisma. Thanks for the encouragement and I wish you the very best in your performing :)

I believe these are the original lyrics and the Broadway Revival changed a verse or two. I do think though that there are a few different versions - I noticed that too as I was learning the song :)

This song originates from In Trousers, the first installment of the Marvin Trilogy. The 2016 revival is the second two parts: March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland.

You no doubt have a fantastic voice and would play Trina wonderfully. My only advice would be that you do not have to overdue the hands and gestures. I do understand that the song does require it, but it would have more meaning and purpose towards the end of the song. Focus on really finding where she is "breaking down". Terrific voice execution of the song though!
