The curious thing with Rillaboom is it essentially has 2 signature moves that could be updated for it along with Frenzy Plant. Branch Poke (which it only shares with Trevenant, and it's Drum Signature. So i'de be curious if they plan to give it Branch Poke as a fast move and then Beating Drum along side Frenzy.

Razor Leaf needs to be more powerful for a Pokemon like this to work. If a water-type like Feraligatr using a RESISTED water move can get HALF your HP with a Hydro Cannon that only took it a handful of turns to get to, then you have to give a Pokemon like Rillaboom here the ability to fast-move it to death even faster. Otherwise the Pokemon is just useless.

Rillaboom has the highest stat product and max CP of all current starters in the game and so it might one day have some play in ML Premier once it gets a better moveset

I had a jump when I saw the title. Hunted Grookey like mad when the event began and ended up with a UL Rank 1. I knew Rillaboom is really good in VGC and was hoping that it would be in Go as well once it got access to better moves. Imagine my surprise when you're already ahead of me running it 😅

At 9:10 if you threw close combat you would've KO'd the Kanto Marowak. Close Combat, thanks to stab, is 8% more powerful than leaf blade when CC is neutral and LB is super effective.

Ehh tried him didn't really care for rillaboom just way to slow for me but inteleon with watergun actually won me a couple of close calls battles I was actually in shock just definitely takes forever to charge up but somehow worked for me.

RL will still shred in dominant matchups and now loses more neutrals, Gliscor's always going to be viable but not dominant in UL, I think.

Lol I lost a game spamming the switch button today I was so mad. I had shadow kanto ninetales into shadow victrebell, I spam switch into feraligator they stayed in fml. I still almost won too brought back in ninetales finished the victrebell they had dewgong and jumpluff in the back and I had shadow abomasnow in the back. Sometimes I forget im running triple shadow but its fun. I've also won my fair share because I spammed the switch. Feraligator needs to get those shadow claws in.

Rillaboom is the next Shadow Claw Feraligtr, good charge moves but dogshit fast moves. Once it gets Magical Leaf it will become a grass monster in the GL.

Why does he keep saying rilla can’t take a hit? Rilla actually has good bulk in the main series games, a fairly good defense and it’s Spdef ain’t too shabby with high HP. It is not a frail mons by any means so why is it playing that way in Pogo?

Rillaboom has a great CP, which means that to fit on Great League it has to be at a low level, so the stats aren't really what would be at it's full potencial
