You should add a feature that shows the best dorm in the entire country just for shits and giggles; most reviewed, most highly reviewed, etc. it would probably inspire pride for people at those dorms and might generate more reviews

Suggestion: start with writing some user stories and having personas, this will guide you into designing and considering all promts (inclusing errors, popups, information to display and etc.) Write the UX first then more to the code.

Dude, in the long-run this idea is nice and has a lot of potential to move overseas. Esp here in the Philippines, dorms are evaluated by (1) price; (2) function, and (3) form since students don't necessarily have lots of cash to burn

Max Levchin (CEO Affirm) came to SC for a speech on innovation and building things people want and when asked about dropping out and starting a company he pretty much told us "if you aren't going to build a company now, you're never going to because working as a software engineer is too comfortable." Now 4 years out of college, I realize he was 100% spot on lol. There was never a moment I was more driven to be my own boss than in college and I want to find that spark again.

Maybe you aren't considering areas outside of the US yet, but I don't think most Canadian schools use .edu emails (at least the one I go to). Restricting users to have .edu emails could leave out Canadian students or even other anglophone countries.
