I just got two baby shubunkin goldfish. And I've got them in a 29 gallon with my comets currently. I'm planning to make them a pond and build a small shed around it on this old slab of concrete I have in my backyard that's just an eyesore. I dont have the money to build a huge expensive pond and I just spent $200 on the tank and stand. So I love this idea. I'll probably get a bigger pool as I just love spoiling my fish. But I absolutely love this so much. And I cannot wait until my fish get big enough for me to start the project.

I see people judging/hating on this. I currently bought a little pool for my turtles because they aren't that big and I have a filter for it as well. Until they get bigger that is when I plan on getting a pond liner. However, this plastic pool is really durable. If you hate this video just don't watch it plain and simple.

Thanks for the support! Kiddie pools are very durable unlike some people believe.

CoreyBanksFishing No problem! I don't have a lot of money so I figured doing a pool would work very well at the moment. My turtles love it! However, since it is outside algae formed, so that is the only thing you need to watch out for aside from rain of course.

I wouldn't make a pool pond that small bc the main reason is bc of winter if it get cold enough your fish and water will freeze all the way that's why I'm using a 12ft pool now for a big body of water so it would be harder for it to freeze, I have goldfish and koi so they are cold blooded so I'll keep them in there during the winter to I'll keep checking on them to

shoelesblondlady Just replaced my 5 ft. diameter pool/pond after 16 years. In Ohio ! Had a 3 ft, for 5 yrs, then got the bigger one. This has been setting on a large concrete slab by back door. My oldest granddaughter was 3, I had a wading pool and carnival goldfish. When plants increased we got a bigger pool. When alge grew over bottom and sides, cartoon fish disappeared. There are bricks around it, with steps for the toads & frogs use. We have different plants, fish, tadpoles, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, birds cats and dogs drinking. It has been unbelievably entertaining and educational. Kids, friends and grandkids have written reports, stories, poems, taken photos, painted pictures or just enjoyed the ambiance. Every fall, they bring the fish inside to aquariums then watch temperature in spring to move them back out. I have a new, replacement, pool/pond. When the 16yr old one got a crack in the rim, I suggested letting it go. There was such an uproar - and a weekend "replace the pond" work party. I hadn't concidered how often adult children, grandchildren and new babies were here, just to see how the Pond City was doing & changing and visiting. Bonus that it doesn't cost hundreds of $$. Replacement was $15 plus tax, at Walmart, pump is small & reused.

How many nice homes do you see with blue fountains? Lol. It looks STUPID. I think your parents dropped you on your head a kid...
