That house doesn’t look like it’s anywhere near Eureka. Nothing about this show that I can recall makes me think anyone involved spent much time there, even keeping in mind that it predates weed legalization. Likewise, Sherman Hemsley’s worst show, *Goode Behavior,* was set in my hometown, and they did not do the research either. At least that movie you mentioned was set in Southern California, so I could buy it there. No way I could buy this as being in northern California.

If the theme from *Growing Pains* didn’t sell well as a single, then it is likely possible that Bill Medley’s record label wasn’t interested. There was also not a female duet partner to cross-promote like Jennifer Warnes or Dusty Springfield, both of whom also had other hit duets concurrently.

Jamie Luner (Cindy) was my favorite but that's only because we share a first name (her first name, not the character's). I remember wanting to grow up and be just like her. I think she was very girly and I was definitely not. I'm still not. Once a tomboy always a tomboy, I guess. Lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️

i remember this show very vividly. i remember seeing the episode of Growing Pains where Mike sent off Coach Lembeck and then the show premiered right after that episode. He told Mike that he always saw something in him. this is from me watching it as a little kid. it's insane that I can remember TV more than anything. I spent so much time watching it as a kid. had a whole book on it too. TV was amazing back then. Just the Ten of Us should have lasted longer. At least the girl from Nightmare on Elm Street was in it. I was gassed when I seen it back in the days. yes, I watched Nightmare on Elm Street as a kid. that was the 80s?
