I'm not trying to add insult to injury, But the final 13:30+ of the 4th quarter was all of 49ers second and third string. Dak's final INT was to a 3rd string LB. The 49ers final TD was from Jordan Mason which is the third string running back. Both teams were running out the clock after that Final TD.

This is Purdy's second year but he hasn't had 17(or even 16) starts yet. He's had 10 regular season starts, then 2 playoffs starts where he finished the games. That makes 12 starts. I don't technially count the Eagles game cause he only got part of one drive. He played the Dolphins last year, but Jimmy started the game. Although since Jimmy got hurt the first drive of that game you can combine it and the playoff game vs the Eagles to make 13. That makes the Nov 19th game against the Bucs the beginning of his second full season gamewise.

Purdy has definitely impressed me from what I’ve been able to watch. I mostly only heard about how he was playing last season but this year I’ve been able to tune in to some games and it seems like he fits that system perfectly. The 49ers got a good one forsure

Teams are always stealing from other teams. The difference is whether you can make it work or not. That play is available to every team in the league. But sometimes, the QB gets tackled or the 1st back gets diverted before he can flip it to the 2nd guy, etc.

To be fair, the hi-lights don't really show that Purdy was struggling in the 1st Q after the opening drive. Cowboys batted 2 passes down at the line, he had a couple late throws (1 was nearly picked). But man... 2nd Q and onward, he was dialed in and played a near perfect game. Conversely, Dak only got worse as time went on. Worse yet, 9ers sat nearly all the starters with 12+ min left in the game, and Dak got picked by the backups on that final Int.
