Exactly, he's trading a bad KDA for destroying multiple turrets/inhibs, stealing enemy jungle, pushing minions to keep enemy top lane behind in CS, staying even in games despite him having a failing lane, tanking most of the enemy abilities/aggro in team fights even whilst behind etc. Though tbf some deaths are worth less than others so it can very a lot game to game even with the same KDA. I'm also inexperienced as far as league goes but it's obvious to see he's creating value for his team, just because his stats don't look amazing to show for it.

believe there's validity to both sides. yes, baus is creating pressure via endless pushing, farming enemy camps, attracting enemy jungler attention and still going even/ahead in terms of tower progress, all the while being the ticking time bomb via W passive. however, the negative kda his strategy entails is abnormal, creates direct pressure to teammates when his fed laning opponent/jungler roam, and indirect pressure to teammates via discouraging kill count. when your solo que strategy REQUIRES cooperation and trust from teammates while causing knee jerk reaction, that is a problem, irrespective of the resulting win rate.

Tbh he is such a skilled player but imo often he still ints first gank. Often there's not really a reason to die first blood (unless if you can secure kill in passive). He's just so good at Sion that that setback of dying first doesn't end up mattering in the end. The thing that most players seem to not understand is that he trades deaths for gold or some sort of pressure, which makes it much more even than you would think. Eg, even if he dies invading jungle, he still takes all the camps so it's even macro play, with the benefit of Baus getting gold for the jgl camps.

It makes it so much easier to win macro wise when all you have to do is just delay the fight for the main objective and wait to see how many people rotate to the split push.
