If I have a pile of plywood that I want a very straight top cut or rip, I just put a 2x4 under the piece I want to cut and use clamps to secure a factory edge to it as a rip guide. You don't have to deal with all that lifting it on a sawhorse. The time spent is about the same. A worm drive is great because the blade stays in place and does not wander like a circular saw

Stupid question ahead....... It seems to me that structures in the woods are going to be in a constant battle with moisture. Would it be stupid or wise to spray flooring and the underneath studs (and wall studs) with a deck stain? Deck stain lasts a couple years being exposed and walked on, I'm guessing it would last 10 years if it was on the under side. I'm just wondering if giving the structure a 10 year head start on rot would be a good thing. BUT, I'm also thinking this could trap moisture and make my shed (cabin) rot faster. So I don't know, who knows?

A-ha, I see what you're doing going barefoot -- you're grounding, or "earthing." Whenever possible, I will avoid freehanding my saw cuts. Now, after several decades handling a Skilsaw, I get the idea. But I've got into the habit of using a straightedge for the saw table to go against. I take the distance from the saw table edge to the outside face of the saw blade, usually 1 1/2". I clamp down my straightedge 1 1/2" from my intended cut. Kind of a poor man's track saw, e.g., Festool, Mafell, Makita, etc. It usually gives me a good straight cut, which I like the looks of more than my freehand cuts, and I'm also a perfectionist who can't quite achieve perfection. Give us a report on how your earthing/grounding experience has been going.

To quote your title, I'm Done! You seem like a pretty intelligent person and I appreciate the work that you have in your lifestyle and you have the right to live as you see fit, but when I see such an intelligent person working barefoot on and off large equipment and construction materials, I'm done. I can't support such flagrant disregard for safety and I certainly won't help you spread this as some new age "stick it to the man" motto that I'm sure some of your viewers see this as. I can already read it in some of the comments. I wish you nothing but success in your adventures, but please, have some respect when it comes to safety. I've been in construction, manufacturing and safety most of my working life and have seen the down side of safety when it's not taken seriously. God bless.

Quicl tip with T&G plywood. Start with the tongue overhanging so with the next row you can hit the flat groove side. Reduces smashing the tongue.

Never occurred to me to question how tall you are (who cares)but seeing you with 8’ plywood makes that question mute. Love the videos.

Bedrock Carins, are a barefoot sandal you should try. Vibram sole, made in USA, extremely comfortable. I use them as my running shoes.

We did a deck like this and then a 100 year flood swept it away.
