He has a shunt just like me. It's not fun. My shunt is the newest model. My first shunt which lasted 15 years malfunctioned. Im now almost 19. So I understand his pain. I'm praying for you.

I remember the first time his shunt broke. He was vomiting repeatedly and he had to have emergency surgery. It’s a lifelong thing he has to deal with and it’s scary.

@johanna- Yeah, I can’t imagine the pain his 3 children he passed his dwarfism on to will suffer. Please feel for them. Zach’s eldest child may end up a cripple with his extremely bowed leg bones. They have 3 children afflicted with Achondroplasia Dwarfism. And the father who has it is almost always sick. That’s 4 seriously ill people in that family Ms. Tori is going to have to deal with. Zack will need his parents support. He can’t afford to play tough guy. His health is too fragile. He can’t run a household. He’s too sick. -Let alone a large farm.

I heard there's a guy who is now living in his mid 60's said he had his 1st shunt when he was a toddler. He went 6 decades without having a single problem and living his best life.

I know exactly what Zach has gone through with the shunt. I myself was born with Hydrocephalus in 1968, (55 years ago), I had the first shunt put in at 11 days old and have revisions many times and have had more than my fair share of shunt surgeries (most resently last July.). I compare a shunt headache to when people who have very bad migraine headaches where the headaches get very severe

I've delt with migrains all my life. I'm 40 yrs old now and there is a med that's called ajovy and you can get either a needle or epy pen and it works for migrains. I would recommend seeing a neurologist and talk about that.

@deanawells They’ve also got 3 children who likely be needing shunt brain surgery and leg surgeries and other medical procedures. They’ll have lots of medical and pharmacy bills with Zack and children all being sick. Ms. Tori will be a lifetime care taker. I feel bad for their sweet dog Murphy. Zack is mean to Murphy. I hope Murphy isn’t being neglected.
