Thank you! I’ve been having a lot of fun with the 360
Great job! The sailboat learning curve is super steep. So much to learn and it feels like you have to know it all RIGHT NOW. But you're doing it 100% right. One piece at a time. Don't sweat the mistakes too much. Just keep going and love the journey.

Oh man!! Feeling your journey so hard right now! Early on with meager experience at best, I absolutely murdered the stern of a newly restored wooden boat with my father's 27 footer on my first time taking her out of the harbor. Not proud of that at all but someone at the time said "we've all been there." I'm super invested in following your channel.

Great job as always, Sarah; very inspiring! I'm sending your video to my students at George School (a Quaker boarding school between Philly and Princeton). We just got back from a 2-week scuba and service trip to Bonaire (it's part of a class I teach at the school) and so many of them now want to do what you are doing, but they can't see how to make it happen. Your video came at just the perfect time. My great- grandmother used to tell me that life is what happens while you're busy making other plans. So, you jumping into sailing with intelligence, an eye towards safety, and a great sense of adventure will carry you even though you lack the experience and confidence. Kudos to you, and thanks for candidly and honestly putting yourself out there so other young people can be inspired to dream and take those really hard first steps! You're wonderfully brave! Can't wait to watch what is sure to be a quick path to expert!

Awesome progress - we are excited for you! From some of this footage it looks like you have already sailed by Blakely Rock (47.5947, -122.4807)! It is the top of Shangrila, a long underwater ridge many consider the greatest dive site in any of the puget sound basins! Certainly one of my favorites. The current planning is tricky, requires a little local knowledge, but otherwise an amazing daytrip adventure someday for your fancy new sailing & dive platform. Just sayin' 🙂🌊🐟

Well I learned something new "Steerage" - I always thought, meant ship accommodations for the poorest passengers. And it did, but is now obsolete. Steerage also means; steering a ship!

That’s like starting out at 18yo with a newly minted drivers license but CHOOSING to buy an 18 wheeler for your first car… Please don’t NOT be embarrassed. Just have f-in fun…especially when it goes “tits up”….and have a good insurance so WHEN you do f up you are not completely out of pocket
