Are those utility closets or closets, closets? If it's your furnace, may I suggest a carbon monoxide detector... Also, door hooks/hangers that hook on top of the door to hang coats and other stuff is really handy for me. Or for hanging extra backpacks off the ground... they make some wide ones.

Ikea can help you with the vision. If you use a monitor while filming, why not attach it to one of the light stands so you have it close to you but not to be visible in videos
