I’m Enjoying Breath of the Wild more, thanks to Tears of the Kingdom

I appreciate the positive experience, but I played BotW (not 100%) and have been STRUGGLING to maintain interest in TotK. It is SO easy to miss stuff in TofK that will ruin your experience. Like, I didn't get the paraglider until ~20 hours because I MISSED Lookout Landing and didn't find the pant on Tutorial Island until 40+ hours and 6 months later when I returned to play the game (I am currently on a 3 week break after a 6 month break a little before the first temple because apathy is rampant in the "game").

Not everyone will have the same experience, and that’s ok. I think I may be one of the few who experienced what I have.

Interesting take, I played it in cronological order and mainly got the switch for these to games when totk came out. I honestly am struggling to believe myself that I would´ve picked up Botw again after starting totk cause its just so much bigger and advanced I´d say. Nice Video :)

I am also back to BOTW to see if I can enjoy it again after playing TOTK for 1000+ hours, and I'm still loving it Now I can say this with complete confidence: Tears Of The Kingdom is, by far, the BEST map and BEST mechanics But Breath of the Wild has, by far, the BEST STORY EVER, that's why it won the GOTY So, If someone want to enjoy an Extraordinary story, you should play BOTW, but if you want some creative mechanics and a REALLY BIG map with LOTS OF THINGS to explore, you should play TOTK Both of them are amazing games that I hope EVERYONE can Enjoy!❤

I don't want to be mean, but have you played any other game since the SNES? Because I barely remember the BotW plot, it was so "meh". TotK is worse and I'm not even at the Hebra temple, needing to do research to NOT find the story out of order.

I have not gone back to play BotW since beating TotK. I should do that at some point! I love both games, but I do love TotK more. I think it’s better game mechanically/functionally. I think the addition of the depths and sky islands makes the world more interesting to explore. And, I find the narrative to be better and have more stakes in TotK as well. Not a lot of hot takes coming from me on these games. 😂

I agree, I honestly do think TOTK is better, actually it took what was good about botw and made it even better. But you do have to admit, BOTW has a charm that its successor can never achieve

To be honest I love both games if I play breath of the wild I miss the ultra hand and when I play tears of the kingdom I miss the step ice thingy 😅 both games are amazing!!!!

Same here, there’s things I miss when I play either one. I did forget to mention that if you have the Wolf Link amiibo you can use it as many times as you want in BOTW. In TOTK it’s just once daily like the rest
