if you wanna deep dive a bit further, you can also look up the things that really happened in the world that some of the zombies lore is based off of. Example, where element 115 was found in the Stony Tungusta River Google the Tunguska event in Russia in 1908

I can tell you from people who don't know it, it is perfect way for you guys to learn and discover an even deeper meaning to a mode we are all already in love with. For people that know the lore like me, it is our wet dream for a series like this to exist. An actual good KZbinr. Who doesn't know lore, get to discover it for the first time and find that sense of joy and amazement that goes into it. And we get to watch and discover with you all over again and re live a simpler time and memory alot of us had about a decade ago. Doesnt seem that deep but this is something special. Fun fact on shi no Numa WAW and future iterations, if you go to Richthofens office and interact with the bookcase you can hear him laugh in the same voice as he does on moon after the “event”

Now I know that someone has probably said this but in shi no numa the "open book on the table" is not richtofens diary his diary is in one of the fishing huts on a bookshelf and once interacted with richtofens laugh can be heard slowly going mad reading this diary the lore goes absolutely insane.

WaW came out when I was in high school. It wasn’t my fave game (preferred CoD4 & Halo 3 live, GoW 2 Horde), good campaign, and I thought zombies had a few issues that weren’t fully thought out. But when they were churning out DLC, it became the go-to for all night sleepovers with friends. And what was great about it was it was when word-of-mouth was the form of communication, no KZbin or online guides yet. Everything was figured out by yourself or by a random online player who you thought was crazy 😂 back when Live was fun & people were chill.

The diary is basically just a recording of his research and instructions from the voices. In order to complete the steps necessary he needed some references on where to go and what to do next. Therefore his diary was a good place to start.

Hey that was great! I love the series and of course I want to see it continue... Here's a few things you missed and things I'd recommend exploring further. The arm on the power switch was thought to come from Peter McCain until you see every power switch on every map has an arm attached. So maybe it was peters arm in Verruckt and faulty equipment blew other people's arms off as well?.. the truth is unknown. The color of the zombies eyes changes as the story goes. The eye color tells you who is in control of the zombies at that time. There's more lore items scattered around Der Reise.... Dr.Maxis desktop nameplate can be found under the stairs in the bouncing Betty tunnel. There's a group 935 handbook inside the air vent near Double Tap. There is a hanging pair of legs outside of the map near the balcony next to a teleporter in the automotive area. There are more audio logs in the map of Der Reise.. One where I believe a man asks "where are the pills?" Referencing suicide pills, then he releases the zombies upon the base as you hear alarms going off...and eats his pill. That's my interpretation lol. Some other options differ. .. I'm sure I'll think of more and leave further comments lol... But your first experience of zombies reminds me so very much of my own... coming upon Nacht unexpectedly... Not playing seriously until Der Reise then playing the other maps.. very similar in many respects. Amazing to hear how close our journey's were. One thing you didn't touch upon but was crucial in getting me hooked in the lore is that the Germans ACTUALLY tried to explore super natural ways to win the war. The researched into voodoo, black magic, ancient artifacts and much more. They seriously explored many strange options that others might consider nonsense. The Zombies lore started off like this video.. semi based in reality... No dragons and giant robots. Just human experiments with meteor elements.

Richtofen’s diary is in the same room that you showed, however, it’s on the shelf and if you interact with it it plays laugh that sounds like richtofen Also the diary is important as it holds a lot of knowledge about the research at group 935. It also has some slight 115 stuff in the pages since the diary was always with richtofen before the outbreaks. Also you got where the fluffy teleport experiment right. In “the giant” intro cutscene, we hear the exact same events happening then shows richtofen laughing whilst in that room you showed

zombies has been my favorite game since i was 7, been learning the lore ever since and think ive learned all i can, and have been considering writing my own expanded lore about some smaller events and characters like gersh or yuri so i have more zombies to be entertained by

Got so many good memories of WAW with my best friend , he's since passed but great memories. In fact WAW xombies was the last game I ever played with him , great times. That being said WAW zombies lore will always be my favorite, black ops just built off of it , then went off the rails on black ops 2. Like don't get me wrong I love some of the story of ultimus and all that , great stuff. Dempsey killing Dempsey will always bring a tear to my eye. But to me there'll always be something about the illuminati, government conspiracy stuff that made it great. It truly felt like the fan base was always piecing it together , learning more and more every obscure history and concepts to decipher all of it. Truly great memories all around , the franchise may have fallen from grace but they can never take the memories.
