But its not a drawer its the type of shit they use at schools to keep the lunch warm all day still overpriced and no wonder american school lunch is so god damn cheap and shit if they wasting all their moneys on heating drawers
@brianturner27014 ай бұрын
Schools, restaurants, and other large food service type facilities use warming cabinets that typically cost around 1k each. As for the drawer, it is by wolf, which is a high-end kitchen appliances manufacturer, meaning all of their products are meant for the luxury market and carry the price and quality to match.

@ChibiChula4 ай бұрын
@@reycaribe It might actually be in the more modern ovens these days, if they even still exist. 😅 However, the original purpose of them was as a broiler to crisp up the top of your food after baking. The heat coils in the oven are normally at the bottom of the large oven space so they're directly on top of the bottom drawer meaning the heat hits the top of your meal in the drawer directly so it was perfect for broiling. I think later ovens turned it into a warming drawer (if you see the drawer at the top then it's probably a warming drawer) and since most people STILL weren't using them correctly they slowly became obsolete and either turned into a storage drawer or completely removed from some combo stoves. 🤷🏻♀️ I believe that they're making a comeback though as the younger generations (and even some of the older generation) are being schooled on how ignorant they really are/always were. 😂

My wife and I bought a 4.5k bed and an adjustable base. We are NOT rich by any stretch of the imagination, and it was so painful to pull the trigger on. Sometimes, you just gotta pay for what you need/want. I'm sure those drawers are awesome if you have a need for them. I can tell you that laying on this expensive bed definitely helps shed off the cringe from how much we spent. More than worth it for quality and ensuring you're getting some of the best products available. $2,500 for one drawer is definitely expensive, but I have to wonder what the competition looks like. Well-made, functional, and heated food storage is probably gonna be expensive no matter where you go. The number of people that would need more than one drawer that isn't for their business is pretty low, and for a business, that amount isn't expensive. This kind of product would do wonders on something like a food truck.

In hindsight, the drawer just seems unsanitary and unsafe. Like, unless you're constantly using the food in them and cleaning them out, it just seems like a health concern; I can foresee mold and also ants, ants will find that like nothing. Bits of food are definitely getting in between the spaces. Also, in all likelihood that food is not being kept at a consistent temperature, and even if it was I feel like that's more of a fire-hazard in such an enclosed space. Even if it's not, imagine the heat it must-be giving-off; like all electrical appliances put-out heat. Now you risk warping your cabinets or ruining the paint or whatever else.

$2500 is definitely too expensive for what it is, but considering the process to make one it makes sense. they probably have to send someone to get the dimensions of your set of drawers and custom-fit the equipment so that it will fit nicely. Not to mention, there's probably some funky engineering to ensure a heater running inside a wooden drawer doesn't burn your house down.

Hey I work at Subzero and Wolf I'm their customer service department. And yeah, super expensive. Not really worth it? I don't get many calls on the warming drawers but those are less common. You are paying for mainly the brand name. Like if you look our stuff is in the Kardashian's house. Also Shack has like 4 of our frier modules next to each other and does call customer service himself. He is a sweetie apparently. But our factory does have a good union, so it is a pretty nice place to work! the appliances are made in the us, and our customer service is pretty great. I'm not just saying it because I do the job but like legit if something breaks, even if it's out of warranty all you have to do is call and ask, we will usually cover at least parts. If you have the money they can be worth it, but don't get the Cove dishwasher. It's new and not great.
