Sharing your personal experience helps likely someone who goes through a similar situation somewhere in the world, to not feel so alone. It's all about connecting with people we can relate to. It is always good to be reminded that no life is always perfect. We all have some struggles. It is hard to be in a different country, away from where our roots are. But you made a lovely home for you and your husband. And you touch and brighten many lifes with your videos. Thank you.

Don't worry Jenny, you are not biracial to me. You are just a sweet, talented, lovely person! I come from the midwest,BTW...hi from Kansas City USA , and grew up in a small town in SE Kansas. My family was on the 'poor' side and I experienced some prejudice because of that. I had 3 brothers & 3 sisters, me the eldest. I helped my Mom a lot and worked since I was 11, as did all of us kids. We did that and bought our own clothes and had our own spending money. And we were smart kids and all turned out better than the 'richies' of the town. So just remember that some things that life puts us thru can benefit us in the long run! Hope you and Justin are feeling better now and Happy New Year! Love you guys!♥️♥️♥️😘

I had a holiday home in rural France in lower Normandy... I found that that they were inquisitive. Lovely people. My husband spoke fluent French and even joked in French which they loved. My French unfortunately was limited. You find that it is easier in big cities. You have a beautiful place in France and love your vlogs and brocante hunting. ❤

Thank you for joining us! We met in Scotland, found one another in a bar and shared an instant connection. As a person who has moved to France and packed 100 boxes for shipping our trick is to pack a box within a box. A trick used by glassblowers. FYI

Have two beautiful children, boy and a girl. My daughter married an Italian from Venice and I have 2 beautiful grandchildren. We always get asked where we are from? People are intrigued a we are different. I consider myself lucky as I have so many countries to call home in a way. Walk tall my lovely enjoy your life. Love your vlogs. ❤

Thank you for an excellent video! Very informative. What are your thoughts about Expat seniors living in France? As retired educators (we helped a new school open in Lviv - Aug-Dec), we are exploring Poland (Dec-Jan), Estonia (Feb), and possibly France. Toulouse is amazing!! Paris is beautiful and walkable. Nice too looks beautiful and welcoming. We seek a walkable, affordable, and comfortable place to call home. My wife Cindy has MS, so calm is a required component. I grew up in Los Angeles, working & driving 24/7, so the European pace is very attractive. Thank you. Dean & Cindy
@Frenchcountryfriends9 ай бұрын
When we last visited Toulouse, I remarked on how I would have loved to experience living in the city as opposed to Paris. I find Toulouse more manageable in the sense of calm and feeling more relaxed. The availability of healthcare should be a priority for those who need it or foresee needing so if living abroad keep in mind that the access to healthcare and the ability to communicate is key. Living in these rural areas, or smaller communities, English is rarely spoken or understood. You’ll find general practitioners but will need to travel to major cities for specialist appointments. I feel it best to do the research and find a quiet place to reside but living close to good healthcare where you are understood. I enjoyed visiting Nice. Côte d’Azur….
@DeanRamser9 ай бұрын
Thank you, Jenny. There are so many beautiful cities! We discovered that Cindy's MS is less active here (Lviv, Krakow, Gdansk). So we wonder if it is the slower pace, the walkable cities, less MSG, or something else. We are still exploring. When we return to Portland we will see if her MS becomes more active. Since France has excellent healthcare, the idea of moving there....Dean & Cindy @@Frenchcountryfriends
