Liz, you're going to enjoy it for sure. I am a native Californian now living in Florida. I grew up fishing and camping in the Sierras. I used to live about an hour from Wrightwood and would drive up to summit Mt Baden Powell and day hike the PCT. I also spent some time in WA state as a kid on Whidbey Island where the PNT is. You're in for a real treat. Enjoy this hike! I'll be looking forward to watching you take on the desert, mountains and forests of the west coast!

I did the Colorado Trail last summer, your videos were some of the ones that convinced me to do it, and I think it got me absolutely addicted to thru hiking. Got my permit for the PCT this year for the end of April and couldn't be more excited to start. Can't wait for the videos but they are going to be torture while I wait for my start date!

Restless Kiwi hiked it in 2019 and did a series of very good videos where she shared many tips. "Homemade" made her pack and tent. Be very careful about the problems that are going on in CA. Carry an SOL Heetsheet emergency blanket for protection from heat or cold. An umbrella will be helpful in the sun. Good Luck with the surgery. I had my heart worked on yesterday and it sems to be a big improvement. Have fun. Good Luck, Rick
