@@chrisst8922 I agree with you completely. In a lot of cases, his rhythm playing is what totally drives the song. A few, I Saw Her Standing There, You Can't Do That, their Roll Over Beethoven and R and R Music, All My Loving, I Want to Hold Your Hand...It goes on and on. Exquisite. The boy was pretty good at not just playing them, but coming up with those perfect chords all the time--Magic!

Hey Nick, I always played George Harrison's guitar parts in all of their tunes, when I played in two different Beatles Tribute bands, as well as a British Invasion Group and I have to say, you nailed Lennon's guitar part. JL was an excellent guitar player, extremely creative in usually dead on with tripplets or anything else he played. This song showcases his talent, sort of like All My Loving does. Both songs are difficult for a lot of guitarists to get through without screwing up, but you did an excellent job.

@yes_head

Those triplets were Lennon's secret weapon. "That Boy", "All My Loving", this song, etc. It probably goes back to his early days learning banjo chords, which is also where his chord shapes came from.
