When you E, always auto the barrel. Gangplank will need to W first before he can auto the barrel so you always have the initiative. Also, don't be afraid to walk up q the barrel. The extra range and fast attack speed meant you are barely outside the range to quickly kill the barrel, this becomes a mind game between you and GP.

I completely fckd my rank and my lp gains at the start of the season by experimenting with new builds and loosing like 20 out of the first 25 games or something like that. Because I then gained like +16 -37 lp I was stuck in Gold for a while and the games were absolutely horrible. Now I'm in Emerald 4 and there are actually some games without someone running it down. In silver/gold there is always someone inting...

Shen tip: when hardpushing, use W to make your minions immune to enemy minion damage. more minions, more damage. Also, try Hollow Radiance with titanic. The wavecear gets insane on any champion, even shen.
