Reminds me of my dad who passed away at 95, 6 years ago. He would drive his 5th wheel from Florence,Or to San Felipe , Mexico every year for the winter. He would leave in November and stay there til March and then drive back to Oregon. He didn't stop til he was 88 years old!!! What a life. He loved Mexico, and went every year for 25 years.

I don’t mind travel days, but not coming home. Pollux and Maxie were so happy to see you, and the feeling was mutual. You should go for a month next year. It looks gorgeous. The first time we went on a tropical vacation our young daughters were so surprised that it was winter when we got home. They thought summer had arrived. They were six and three.

Oh Renee, I cried when the boys met you at the door. I lost my miniature schnauzer 2 weeks ago. She and Maxxie could be brother and sister they look so much alike. Sadie was 15 years old. I sure miss her greeting me at the door. ❤❤

I, too, am a grumpy/anxious traveller and we have a schnauzer who is really happy to see us arrive home. But I love winter weather (now that I'm retired and don't have to drive in it). We just got another foot of snow here in St. Paul and it's getting a bit tricky to find a place to put it all when cleaning off the driveway and sidewalks. Still, we're only about 15 minutes from the airport and are heading to Italy in April.

I can relate to being sad to leave vacation. We used to go fishing twice a year. Stayed in same cabin at same resort every time. Always felt like home when we were there and felt sad to leave. Didn't have dogs to go home to but did have kitties waiting on us. Some were excited to see us, and we had a couple who totally nignored us for a day or two. Our punishment for leaving them. Whoa. I'm pretty impressed with your vacation. We've done Puerto Vallarta in our younger days - like in the early 1980's. And trust me, it was not as nice as all the offerings you've been showing us. OR, maybe we didn't stay in the right area???? I don't know. But yeah, I have been blown away with how much different it is from what we remember. And that car service sounds like the best ever. We have a car service we use here in the Detroit metro area that is nice and clean and reliable. But the Mexico leg of it, we always used local taxis. So, I learned something new. Awwwwwww Maxxie and Pollux missed their mommy so much! Poor little babies. :- )
