I think getting your range back up was the secret MVP. I noticed a huge increase in killing power after you went from -80 to -5

yeah, having roughly ~0 Range is really important. Getting a ton _can_ help, but mostly just making sure you're at neutral is what you need.

I actually found a pretty decent way of dealing with the bull boss. Just run circles around him in second phase. If you're fast enough, he literally can't hit you, cause the projectiles don't go behind him.

I understand it's retromation, but the name for this character is in my opinion, opportunist. This is because they evade an attack, find an opening, and night night.

Is it possible to modify enemy atk speed values? Could be an interesting negative/positive perk. Maybe like enemy attack speed scaling from +15% to -15%.

Interesting. Notably it will be relevant to about 30% of the enemies , the ones that fires projectiles, since the others aren't attacking you technically- you are loosing hp from the collision with them.

I've been curious about the 'range is an atkspd downgrade' statement- does the cooldown starts when the attack animation finishes? In a hypothetical case where a weapon had a 2s attack animation due to incredible range, and a 1s attack speed, would you attack every 2s (weapon swings as fast as physically possible) or every 3s (weapon swings, then there's a second of downtime)?

I think you’re overthinking it. The distance a weapon goes out is the same distance it has to return.

it's the latter and that's why range down is attack speed because range increases the time it takes for the animation to finish.

the cooldown starts when you attack, but cannot happen again until the animation finishes, and the animation lenght is tied to range

Melee attacks have travel time both out to the enemy and back to your side, and have to return to their home positions before they can go out again, low range lowers that part of it. So attack speed: Attacks go out go faster low range: Attacks come back in faster

@@BlueDisaster It's the former. Range is only an attack speed downgrade when the animation of the weapon reaching full range and returning is longer than the delay between attacks. If that is the case then the weapon will be immediately sent out again when it returns, and attack speed upgrades no longer do anything. At that point the only factor is range, in which case lowering range until the weapon returns before the delay will allow an attack speed upgrade to do something again.
