This is very Hongjoong and San coded cus since Hongjoong is a leader, he would want/wish for things to be better or get to the root of the problem so they would be better and lead a better life for themselves. He's basically thinking as a leader. Whereas San is the emotional support in Ateez as he always empathizes and comfort other members during their hard times. San always relates to a member/friend. Such contrast of personalities but work very well when together ❤

I don't think the writer feeling insecure is entirely his fault. This situation is kind of complicated, and I empathize with the writer, because I have been in this situation. I will share my own story - I am a twin. In school, my twin was always ahead of me when it came to studies, and I was above average (but still good). But I was always made to feel like I am in the bottom rankers because of the constant comparison from the teachers. I make one mistake and they would criticize me and compared to my twin, which was quite unnecessary. It's not like the other top scorers were compared to low scoring kids but why was I subjected to this? But I never felt resentful towards my twin in this case as I paid no heed to those teachers. I was good enough, I did not owe them to be a top scorer. If you are by yourself, people would not care but if there is a sibling who is better in anything there are always Comparisions. Insecurity is something you have to work upon yourself, and if there are others involved that make it worse for you, it is better to maintain some distance.

I agree with Hongjoong here cause like… you’re going to run into people that are better than you always so if you react to another situation the same way, then you’re trapped in the same cycle and it’s your responsibility to break that cycle. It's really hard to be compared to your sibling... imo neither the writer or his brother did anything wrong, it's more that other people are being inconsiderate by unnecessarily comparing them (and being just rude honestly, if someone's been there longer and you don't know their name that's on you for not learning and not on the writer for "not being memorable" or something). Like why would you tell someone that their brother is better than them unprompted? I feel like most of them missed the point there, I don't think the writer would feel insecure if they were being compared to someone else in general, but it hits harder when it's someone close to them.

I’d like to be on the writers side because we’re all human, we all get jealous over something, but he should use this feeling as motivation and not for hatred towards his brother. He should stay in the tennis club because he enjoys playing and focus on becoming a better player for himself. If his crush doesn’t see his worth, he should distance himself from them and find someone better. I hope the writer gets past this and finds happiness. I think people like to divorce social standing and self esteem when they go hand in hand. Im on both siblings side because it sounds like they got along well enough before everyone in the club started constantly comparing them so i dont want to fault either brother, but i agree the writer both for his own sake and his future relationship with his brother/others needs to work on the part of himself that takes the comaprisons so hard/personally, and it may be easier for him to do that in a new environment (activity/club) that his brother is not in so he can independently establish his own identity/achievements without comparison. They are defiantly exacerbating the situation and they need to be checked by one of the brothers. I think the writer should try to focus on their personality instead of other. Don't compare yourself with others bcoz everyone is unique. Let's say even if you decide to change yourself to impress others, you'll still won't be happy. I'm sure there must be some people who'll accept you for who you're, you don't need to care about the people who don't care about you. Also, regarding the crush thing, you can simply tell her that you can't help if that makes you uncomfortable. It's better to avoid that situation. If she forces you too much, then tell her the reason that she was your crush, being honest is much better whether it's with yourself or others. I would like to give my opinion about the inferiority complex case actually (even tho no one cares), I personally also think it is an issue that the writer has to work on ! Why be jealous of your siblings when you can actually be proud that these people are part of your family ? Moreover, the younger brother is not mean and instead tries to held his older brother out so it is really sweet of him ! Also, the writer might be able to actually find some good friends that won't like him because of his brother's personality ! About the crush, I can understand why he is jealous and sad ; however, he can't in anyway force the girl's feelings and it's gonna be okay because he will get over it and find someone else ! Just to say that this guy can trust his younger brother and he has his own qualities and people can see them, so don't be jealous of your younger brother (who looks up to you since you raised him and all) and be proud of who he actually is !

I’m on the side of the younger brother yet I do understand the older brother. It can be difficult to feel bested by someone who is not your peer and you don’t know how to navigate those feelings and because of that you just need someone to be like “I understand you.” At the same time, the older brother will have to confront his feelings head on because it’s not the younger brother’s fault that he’s handsome or charismatic. I think the older and younger brother should talk, and based on the small description, I think the younger brother will empathize and even though he can’t just stop being cool lol, they can maybe work it out so they’re not always everywhere at the same time and the older brother can have time to breathe and figure out himself and his relationships at school before his inferiority complex turns into a problem that hurts his younger brother and any other friends he might make who are similar to his brother.

Sani's way too empathetic and I'm afraid I'm way too different to him. To be honest, I could never be on writer's side. Like, it's not his brother's fault, he even tried to help him. The writer is just frustrated at himself, not his own brother, because he feels inferior to his brother yet his brother did nothing but being himself. I'm sorry for the writer, but if he had that crush for 6 MONTHS and did nothing to get close to that person, it's not his brother's fault.
