@hbuniotto yeah nah I neither want the weight nor have the need for heavy bumpers etc. Just redid my headlights and fog lights too - made it even more legit. Should have the video up shortly

I just switched to a different coverado seat covers too that are waaaay nicer imo and contour better, did a dual cup holder install by the gear shift, wrapped the orange part on tail lights with red which ended up looking way better and going to do a molle panel install that attaches to the ML speaker on the dash this weekend. And vinyl just arrived for the partial camo wrap. Planning on baking my headlights apart on the labor day weekend unless I end up roadtripping instead.

I'm thinking about getting the leather from Lseat and replacing at least the front seats. But if the coverado looks good on yours I might change my mind.

Very nice build. I highly recommend the strut upgrade for the rear tailgate and Etsy has some 3D printed cup holder extensions for the front cup holders. They both work great!

@@SavageDot001 appreciate it. I got the bluedog double cupholder installed by the transfer case shifter and deep 3d printed one over the stock dual one. Makes a world of difference. And added a molle panel from crossindustries above the nav unit

It's Land Cruiser 300 steering wheel. Got it through Eldar Karimov in the GXOR facebook group. Quite a few folks has bought theirs from him. He has a ton you can choose from as well as colors of LED lights, logos and he can adjust button wiring as well.

He's gave me like 30 different ones to pick from and can customize logos and lights. Most buttons do work except lane control/guided cruise since GX470 never had those. But yeah plug and play. Hi, great video! I recently bought an ‘05 gx470 and am dialing it in. I am curious if you have more information about the steering wheel? I have seen a listing for a similar looking upgrade kit on aliexpress and I was wondering where you purchased yours from? A few more questions about the wheel: 1. Do all of the buttons work? (I have the joying headunit - highly recommend it - and it can configure the steering wheel buttons in the stock wheel to do different functions in the headunit). 2. What is the diameter of the wheel? Is it the same size as the stock wheel? 3. Does the wheel raise when the key is out of ignition like stock? 4. Do your wheel buttons light up at night? I read a review that they need to be wired up to power to light up correctly and this part seems the most daunting to me. Lastly, i am new to these kinds of modifications - you said you had someone else do the work for you. Did you pay a shop or just a friend? Im curious what I should expect to pay for install if i have someone else do it. I wouldn’t even know where to begin to find a shop with this kind of expertise that wont also charge an arm and a leg.

Eldar Karimov out of the GXOR Facebook group is where I got it from. The steering wheel is an LC300 wheel and a bit smaller than the stock GX one. It does raise and lower as the oem one and all the buttons work (volume, cruise control, track/channel skip etc, but obviously not the steering assist). A local shop did the install (same one as did my lift etc). Charged me $65 I think. Eldar takes care of the lights and you can pick the colors. I chose the basic white LEDs not to clash with anything. Zero issues and it's been over a year

You are a very talented guy. I live in RI, I just bought a GX-470 2008; I want to keep it stock, but nice looking. If you would have been living closer, I would have brought it to you and pay you to do the modifications. That’s just what I am looking for. The one that I purchased has kind of weird color, but doesn’t look too bad, it is uncommon, it is called dessert sage metallic. It is like a good light green color. 😊

@alonsomora3016 desert sage is an awesome color. I wanted something in a different color, but this one was zero rust cali/ga truck with good records so jumped on it. And someone else did the heavy lifting like lift and steering wheel. I did the easy stuff. Camo wrap I'll do solo though

Funny enough that's my next video. Longer drives GX for me for a mile especially with the dual zone climate control and V8 power. Montero wins with interior space and prefer the black interior over beige. Plus being all modded especially with rear tire being out back I def like how it looks more at least for now. I do enjoy having both in the driveway!

Dacron Dashboard Cover for like $20 on Amazon. Wanted something that I can attach patches to that wouldn't glare (that's why I don't want to fix the current dash too much - glares so hard). Had to cut a hole for light sensor and dash speaker.

Coverado. In GXOR group on Facebook you can search for them and see how more of those look. I did pull them off a couple days ago and want to mess around fixing up my seats and might replace with another set, just a bit different design - don't like the flaps on the bottom seats specifically. But they do fit really good.
