This was one of my favorite shows when I was little. I wish I hadn't thrown away all of my VHS tapes. I thought all the shows would be available online someplace, so I threw away my VHS tapes years ago. I'm glad to see this episode. I was born with a disability, and I love that this episode points out that people often put the focus in the wrong area, freaking out that we shouldn't do this or that because of their own misconceptions and assumptions about us, and while they're worrying about that they miss what we really do need accommodations for.

That makes no sense because being mean is not a disability. Also, no one would word being accepted as “being treated like a real person”.

I loved this show when I was little, its amazing to see it again! Its also strange that a lot of episodes are lost media now, makes me wish I had taped it back in the day. Thanks for the upload!!

Yes! It has been one of my favorite shows since I was little! I'm glad to have been able to see all of the episodes as they first aired. I just wish I didn't throw away all of my tapes.

Mr Enter really tore this episode a new one. Because of its lack of understanding of people with disabilities.

No idea who that is, but it sounds like he is the one with a lack of understanding. I was born with a disability, and there is NOTHING wrong with this episode. I've loved it since I was a kid watching it in its first airing. It is a wonderful episode showing that some people, even some parents, are too protective in the wrong areas. They want to think we can't do things that we can do. That's a problem because it takes focus off of what we really can't do and need accommodations for.

It depends on the person with the disability. Treating those with disabilities as people is the correct way to do it, like everything else, sure we need a bit more help..and especially those in the neurodivergency community, but remember Autism is like ice cream...his style is one flavor, mine is another...and then you get the alien feelings that Buster Baxter's alluding to.

Especially "Goodbye, Grandma." I at least want to give this show the benefit of doubt on tackling the subject of death.

I understand why Mr. Enter made a review on this.... This would at least be a guilty pleasure if it weren't for the problematic stuff, such as telling kids who can't swim to go in the water or, you know, the stereotypes Whiny and Geeky apparently are according to that review. Other than that sort of thing, it's pleasing to the eyes and ears and easy to relax to; plus, there's a lot of cool cartoon stuff you could do with a bunch of kiddie clowns.

Agreed. The clowns are pretty cute and I can’t fault the staff for what they’re trying to get across. It just needs better writing and research into these real world problems. But I’m willing to bet that episode where Hiccup and Blooper’s grandmother dies is the one episode they did correctly.

That is not what happened. "Reach Throw Row Go" was a common thing when I was a kid, like "Stop Drop and Roll" or "Just Say No". Every one of us watching the show knew the context. If you can't swim you can still reach and throw. That was the point. We all understood it back then. If you don't understand it then schools need to do a better job explaining it. You can't blame a cartoon that was made to go along with a safety campaign that was in every public school.

@@birthdayfruitecake8158 They are. Unfortunately, the only way to watch them right now is in a Korean dub and Russian overdub. That's why I am hoping someone has them in English.
