I love that you are willing to spend money on unique and beautiful items so that your customers have the chance to buy something gorgeous that they wouldn't otherwise have the chance to buy. For your occasional odd box, ask your local florists or florists wholesale for some flower boxes. They are made of standard boxing cardboard and there are a variety of different sizes that are all around 40 inches in length. For shipping fragile items, it's possible that you can find boxes that can fit into another box. If you don't want many, they will probably give them to you, just have to make arrangements first.

Love the Haeger earth ware (wrap?), my mom had a set of 2 vases and a round cigarette lighter in that design. Still have a large vase (cracked) and the other which is shaped like the "I dream of Jeannie" vase, that is in good condition. The lighter is long gone. Thanks for sharing!

There are many kinds of Collins cocktails; the Tom Collins should be made specifically with old tom gin. 06:41 It seems kind of Italian. 08:14 He appears to be contemporary and still prolific, according to his Facebook page. He might be from Wisconsin. 08:34 Well, well … Deer Country Kiln was located in Maine, on Kezar Lake. Potter Bill Vinton began producing in the 1950s and made a wide range of pieces using forms from nature found near the lake as his templates. (The flounder fish platter will just plain startle you.) It appears he closed down around 1970. I found a couple of parallels to the piece you're holding, with the comment that it was made early in the kiln's history. What you're thinking of is not Old Marsh but Salt Marsh pottery, which was founded by Vinton's daughter Betsy Powell. 09:11 Boy howdy at the 1970 green! 09:50 That's a Maltese falcon, all gilded! (See? I've watched my Humphrey Bogart movies.) 11:15 Well, _that's_ meta. 15:12 That sounds like a deal to this Aladdin fiend.

@@CrazyLampLady Indeed yes, but honesty makes me confess that electric Aladdins come a distant second in my affections to the kerosene originals. (I have eight: seven of various dates between 1928 and 1952, and a 1999 reproduction of the legendary 1940 cobalt Tall Lincoln Drape.)

@@dittohead7044 Well, they please me. None of them are radically rare, but every last one is in working condition and I keep 'em that way. Every fall, about the time the first good hard cold front comes, I'll begin firing them up to burn through the fuel in the fonts, so I can fill them with fresh kero and be ready in case of power outages. Because they do put out a TON of heat as well as a good light, we've used them before to keep the house warm when the furnace went down on the weekend and the heater man couldn't come untill Monday.
