It is, I totally agree. But honestly I'm wondering if it isn't a perspective based analogy. For instance, there are a lot of people at the pond and most people aren't catching anything so he is going to a different pond. He said he will go to a new pond because he loves fishing... I say I'll stay by the crowded pond because there are just as many fish in it, its just that there are too many people fishing it because they love to fish. That's why few fish are biting. With new and better lures, the big fish will come up from the deep. Jonah... he became the lure. He didn't love to fish, he got in the water AS THE LURE, and caught the biggest one ever and ended up fulfilling his purpose. Stay strong my friend...

I think, what I would be getting at would be that if I myself become what attracts the fish, and go into the water where the fish are at, there are no lines to entangle me. My thoughts are that modern Christianity is trying to use old formulas to solve a new problem and that is why they still cast lines in the first place. I don’t claim to have this thing figured out but I will say this much, when we dedicate our lives to creating worship space for Jesus we cannot go wrong... until we do. ;)

Debbie Douglas well actually it was the Catholic Church that most impeded the translation of the Bible into English. Lots of Christians were murdered for trying to get the Bible into the hands of the common folk. You are right though about the councils determining canon of scripture and whatnot. The fact is that the Catholic Church is an amalgamation of various pagan religions and Christianity, hence all the traditions that are not even in the Bible. Also there are several scriptures about Gods word being foundational. Without God’s word we never would have been freed from the corruption of the Catholic Church. The Bible revealed and exposed the practices that were contrary to Gods will. Without the Bible In a language we could read we would have to take the word of the priest. The Bible says that there is no mediator between us and God except Jesus himself.

In Chan-style humility, he apparently did not notify anyone in any media outlet about their missionary plans! All we have is that here, Chan briefly mentioned his plans, and then went on with the sermon. I can't find anything about this online! I did searches. I went to various Christian websites. So I did their work for those sites, and I sent them the video link and told them about the announcement. :) Folks, in the big scheme of things, this news is bigger than Kanye's conversion. Robert Kadlecik Forgiveness means that all were at some point guilty; but forgiveness from God through Christ is complete. So I'm wondering what purpose "hell" serves? So, contrary to the teachings of most members of the clergy, Jesus (peace be upon him) did not want his followers to believe everything they were told on “blind faith,” but he wanted his followers to believe “with all thy mind.” He wanted us to THINK in order to protect his words from corruption. Let us comply with the teaching of God's elect messenger, Jesus Christ (pbuh), and see where the truth and our minds will lead us. ******* NOTE: The LORD in Isaiah is NOT for Jesus. :-)

Very few American preachers are actually preaching from the Bible and serving as a disciple. I'm sad Francis will not be preaching here and recording his teachings because they have helped me so much considering there are no more real Bible teaching pastors. However, nothing could support his honesty and true discipleship more than ACTUALLY leaving the US and proclaiming the gospel to the unreached. I'm inspired and grateful. You see him doing all sorts of things that mainstream pastors wouldn’t dare do. Nine-ish years ago Joshua Harris and Mark Driscoll seemingly belittled him on a KZbin video; questioning his intentions and thoughts on what he was doing when walking away from his mega church. The obvious question now being; where did these guys land in there ministry (and I hope the Lord is blessing them and drawing them back to His Heart)? The fruit is there Francis. Thinking of leaving the church, but it's a struggle to leave the ones we love. But we need to put Gods word first which no one seems to do much anymore. His teaching is straight-forward and not easily accepted by many believers. As a teenager in the 80s the pastor who led the church i attended was similar to francis. And truthfully..if we really ask Holy Spirit's leading in understanding His word...this teaching eventhough tough on our hardened hearts & malleable mind, will convict us coz we allow to be continually sanctified. God knows us, accept us but love us so dearly to let us be astrayed from His word of truth

There are MANY Christians living this out, giving up everything for God....just because they aren't in the churches does not mean they don't exist. And in fact there is a huge revival happening..has been for about 5 years. But somehow Chan is regarded as the forerunner ? Nope

That doesnt take away from other pastors who have been teaching the same like chan.
