I think I understand both perspectives, but my sympathy leads more towards Amanda. Postpartum depression is a real thing. I also believe that the way she behaves around him in his description is a reflection of the way he treats her. Even though she might not feel like the most perfect or prettiest girlfriend and mother, she still depicts her love for Edwin through little things like cooking and cleaning up after him. She most likely feels unappreciated by him and in turn doesn’t act the way she used to when they first got together. Instead of jumping to conclusions or being dismissive of the woman’s wants and needs, a lot of guys like Edwin should start making the effort to ask their woman how she feels. She would know how horrible her words can impact his well-being. You cannot build a relationship up, if you never listen to what the other individual is saying.

Amanda is ungrateful and full of herself, she thinks because they have a "baby" (baby is not holding a man again like first time), she can neglect to show to the man love and affection. Washing and cooking is domestic any fool can do that. But giving sincere love and attention and affection is very important, respecting the man working hard to bring home money to take care of you is important. Look how many baby mothers have to go and work, she stays at home, a work in itself sure, but it is domestic work, because I am sure the man can wash and cook for himself. I bet that she was really loving at first when she was just getting with him. But now she is using the baby as an excuse to ignore the man. She is just as much to be blamed as he is.
