[I'm LIVE] SE SO NEON (새소년) & Midnight Train (심야행)

Joining us on this week's I'm LIVE is the sensational trio SE SO NEON! Composed of vocalist and guitarist Hwang So-yoon, bassist Park Hyun-jin, and drummer U Su, the band has been bringing a brand new flow to the Korean indie scene with their distinctive musicality since their big formation in 2016. They also won the Rookie of the Year and Best Rock Song at the Korean Music Awards in the year they debuted and achieved both critical and commercial success. Recently, SE SO NEON released their second EP, "Nonadaptation," to sing about the importance of following one's own heart instead of merely listening to others. Calm at times and explosive at others, the three young artists and their music never fail to surprise listeners.

대체 불가능한 밴드, [새소년]
가수와 관객의 거리 단 '1m', 손닿을 듯 가깝고 생생한 음악을 선물하는 도심 속 라이브 콘서트 [I'm Live]. 실력 있는 뮤지션들과 공연을 사랑하는 관객들의 사랑을 한 몸에 받고있는 [I'm Live] 141회의 주인공은 밴드 새소년이다.
새소년은 황소윤(보컬,기타), 박현진(베이스), 유수(드럼) 3인으로 구성된 밴드다. 2016년 결성 이후 한차례 재정비를 거친 이들은 꾸준히 형성해온 독보적인 색깔로 대체 불가능한 밴드씬의 새 흐름을 만들었다. 장르의 틀에 갇히지 않은 채 새롭고 자유로운 에너지를 발산하는 새소년은 데뷔 해에 한국대중음악상 ‘올해의 신인’, ‘최우수 록 노래’를 수상, 이름을 알리기 시작했으며 평단뿐만 아니라 대중의 마음을 사로잡으며 방송과 국내외 다수의 공연을 이어왔다. 그리고 최근 두 번째 EP앨범 [비적응]을 발매한 이들은 다시 한 번 세상에 새소년의 이야기를 풀어놓으며 사회로부터 주어진 가치에 무조건적으로 적응하지 않는, 스스로의 기준을 가지고 판단하는 삶의 태도에 대해 노래했다. 고요하게 속삭이다가도 금세 폭발적으로 터져 나오는 세 멤버의 연주와 자신만의 시선으로 시대를 꿰뚫어 보는 노랫말 속 메시지까지, 새소년의 음악이 가진 매력은 무한하다.
새소년의 [I’m LIve] 공연은 낭만적인 무드로 가득한 ‘구르미’를 시작으로 ‘집에’, ‘긴 꿈’, 시인과 촌장의 원곡을 재해석한 ‘고양이’, 그리고 [비적응] 앨범의 타이틀곡 ‘심야행’과 ‘눈’까지 다채로운 분위기의 곡들로 구성됐다.
