Nice moding. It would be nice if its combined with a "Seat Position Camera Control" that is already in the game and when you changing camera position it moves a seat. Great mod Fill. :D One question, is it posible to make foldable mirrors when you shutdown ignition on modern car? Or something I would like is the interior lights turn on when the doors are open.

Have a comment for the algorithm. Love that you can make actual modding stuff a somewhat viable content on youtube. One can learn so much about beamng modding, you hit a good middleground between too boring and too surface level. I like the depth you go to. Excited to see how this continues, maybe one day you could to a series where you use all you have learned on a single car to make it the ultimate realistic car...

I love this kind of mods. The small details are what make beam stand out. Would be so cool to have the actuators like you said (maybe to the side of the seat). Also on a similar style would be so cool to have electric side mirrors and maybe moveable center rear view mirror (kinda pointless at the moment since the mirrors don't really work, but if they ever will it would be glorious, especially if VR were possible)

3:35 small information for you, if you hold Alt while shift-clicking, you can make a rectangular selections with a multi-cursor. So you can just Alt+Shift+Click all the "f"s and type "r" and it replaces the whole selection at once.

This is pretty cool. I think the next step should be to tie the internal camera to the driver's seat using the seat nodes as the reference nodes. That way it's physically moving the camera in 1st Person. If you want to use interactive buttons to control the seat movement, check out the controls for the rollback flatbed. I think that'd be a good start.

I now realize that this would remove the interior camera if you removed the driver's seat. So you'd either have to live with no interior camera when you removed the seat, or turn the driver's seat into a core slot on the chassis config. Still, lots of potential with this kind of stuff. I'm super excited to see how BeamNG's modding community takes content above and beyond with their creativity and ingenuity.

These videos on adding functionality are cool, and it also helps prospective modders who want to get into doing this but have no clue where to start. You're saving many people lots of time by doing the suffering for them XD You are a very good man, a legit blessing to the Beam community. _fake-edit: I just started spitballing ideas and got carried away somewhat XD_ Some seat adjustment is done with buttons on the door and some is done with switches on the side of the seat, then older ones are of course levers and springs which Beam unfortunately will never simulate since the player isn't there to provide the pushback force to resist the spring and set the seat. Also, seat height is something too for -short people- _those who need it_ and then there's the one that's not needed since you can't see it in game, being lumbar support adjustment. The steering wheel should be able to go up and down too in older vehicles, and in newer ones I believe they got some forward/backward movement and tilt to add to the up/down movement. Do some vehicles have wing mirror adjustment already using the door or dash buttons? And there's the center mirror adjustment which should also have the inner tilt dimmer lever that ought to just operate the tiny lever and darken the mirror against headlight glare. Then there's some vehicles having suspension adjustments that raise and lower the ride height, like that new Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato that has rally mode, or the Urus, lots of cars really, so if there's some way to adjust the suspension based on buttons in the center console or on the dash, that's a feature Beam needs to support. Also adjusting the light angle of the police A-pillar spotlights, like two buttons on the handle to slowly change the angle of the spotlight in either direction. I got carried away, didn't I? Ugh

this is really! it could be somewhat integrated with the adjusting seating feature beam already has (which is just a way to move the first person camera without changin FOV) might be kinda difficult tho, considering beam saves the camera position for every car, it would mean to save the seating position (the mod you made) in some way too... probably the "easiest" way is to calculate the seating position based on the camera position beam saved on the spot, instead of actually saving it

64 kilos is the added weight of electirc seats?? uh... thats.. alot. for a couple electric motors, a bit of wires and some steal rails. 10 kilos maybe. i know car seats tend to be a bit soggy, but i cant see them being that much. great mod! next you should make the visors flip down, open the glove box to find the owners manual, and tune the radio! backup camera? adjustable mirrors? ouu the possibilities. have the ability to sit in the back seat for some online cruises with your friends? you got my brain working now.

Not sure how possible or difficult but a nice little edition to this could move your camera in first person/cockpit view. Would only really were for moving the seat back and forward but a detail like this could be a really nice improvement and make it useful for the game. For example instead of changing fov, maybe you just move the seat back more.

Ya know, it is interesting that there are key bindings for moving the driver camera forward and back but seeing the seat move at the same time has yet to be implemented in Beam. It doesn't look too difficult to pull off. 😮

Now I kinda understand better the letters and numbers in the BeamNG Config files. I don't think I ever seen anyone make a full video of a BeamNG car "Mesh Swap", I wanted to make my own mod for BeamNG using the existing Covet, but I cant even know where to start. I know it'll be a mesh slap but I really wanted to make my own mod, as I know this car I'm wanting to make will never ever be made a real mod for BeamNG(at least not in the near future). Can you make a video, if you havent done yet, of how to change the car body to another one? And maybe in the video, make necessary adjustments for the Jbeam to be at least close enough with the new body stile? (i know it can increase bootleg mods but I dont think it would worsen much...) Thanks! Iff you dont want to do that,no problem. And it's so awesome to see someone who plans to make BeamNG more and more realistic, and customizable! You got a new subscriber.

Can you change the first person camera position in game? I don't have it so don't know. Maybe you can see where this is going. If that's a feature, I think being able to move the driver's seat as you change the first person view would be cool. It might be tricky ensuring it matches the first person view when you've moved it in any other view though.

Tried it with an offroader mod I made in automation with super bouncy suspension. It was fun watching the vehicle wheel spin (it has 5,000 hp) and wheelie every time I pressed the accelerator, same for when I was braking (I had drum brakes sooo... )
