Watt doesn't want me to reveal this, but he is actually a bunch of goblins in a trench coat, which is how he is able to make this much progress in such a short amount of time.

Imagine a multiplayer feature where you and your goblin friends can unite in a musical band. Maybe there’s a way to synchronize/harmonize with one another while staying on beat, the more cohesive you are the more damage you do. However I don’t know if that would mean they would canonically be playing worse or better if their music is so bad that it’s physically damaging.
@RyanIsHopingКүн бұрын
Dissonance is only possible when multiple sounds are played at once. The "Devil's Chord" comes to mind. So you could still reward playing in sync with more damage, under the understanding that the notes played sound extremely painful together 😂

It's truly insane how much is in this one devlog. Huge feature additions with explosives/cogs/instruments, lots of content with the new NPCs/locations, and so much quality of life polish like the double doors/controls. You're really knocking it out of the park, Watt!

Begging for the 'bard' role to be unique by having every/ most wepons to be completely diffrent. Like a triangle instrument could be one massive attack with a long reload, like a shotgun, while an amped electric guitar is like an smg where it just becomes guitar hero!!! +++ I *need* a lineup of multiple band outfits, like a rockstar, a classical pianist and a helmet that's just a bunch of hair over your body!! These could even effect your efficiency in each 'sub class' of instruments!!!! Btw, if you can't tell I rly want to make a goblin band with my friends

War drums are AOE shockwaves out from your character that damage and push back enemies with a DK drum track at the bottom of the screen, the more consistent you are with timing the more damage and distance your shockwave travels

As an electrical engineer who likes gamedev I'm just as interested in your particle spinner. 4:54 I like that drawing. 5:35 Listen I have a brilliant idea. The music spreads out in waves and bounces back on walls. And that way you can make waves add up to each other and create standing waves and the higher the wave, the more damage it deals. This is a perfect mechanic for an electrical engineer to think of and has no downsides at all. It can even curve the space-time (aka it is laggy).

one thing i think would be cool would be to handcraft a plethora of natural areas. the idea is that when youre wandering through an otherwise random map, you occasionally come across a beautiful spring or unusual rock formation. in my opinion, this would add some nice variety and give some POIs that arent structures additionally, i think making the handcrafted areas only subtly different from usual world generation, as well as making them fairly rare, would add to the immersion

Hey man, mechanical engineering student who also dabbles in gamedev. Its actually really inefficient to transmit force using series of gears like that. Id recommend having gears to change directions and shafts for any of the straight bits. You could make it automatic or the player has to place the two pieces manually, either could work. Id recommend looking at Timberborn power transfer, they do a similar thing. It physically hurts me to see that many gears in series haha. Love the series and love the game so far!

i think that something that would help keep the game interesting is having like small-middle sized islands with outposts of humans where there is loot, or even new species of goblin. and with the new option of water travel there are stuff that could be added like sharks that attack you, dolphins that maybe lead you to some treasure, and hell even like a new big island expansion
