I always felt like the odd one out for never getting into YA. Also... I need to say something. I know you always do your compliment schtick in the beginning (and I know, it's a joke!) but I think you also need to be told that you always look so amazing and you are amazing. ♡ For real. You have, 100%, hands-down, the best sense of humor. You always go super in-depth about why you loved or hated a book, and you're not afraid to be yourself or to say what's on your mind. I also love your makeup, and you rock that long brown hair! And I also never lie. ♡ Can't wait for the next unhaul and haul! Best of luck on your move. You got this!

You’re not aloooone! The only “YA” book I’ve ever enjoyed was Small Favors by Erin Craig but it 100% doesn’t feel like YA at all. Recommend. But you’re not alone! 😆
@Quileryn Жыл бұрын
@Bridget Rose I'll have to look in that one then and thank you for saying that! I think it is just in my nature. I'm a really picky reader and typically go for more darker fantasy or magical horror type books. Don't get me wrong, I like a good romance in a story, or "steamy" scenes, but if that's all there is, it either gets annoyingly convulted or it starts to feel like I'm reading fanfic :p
@jonnie7891 Жыл бұрын
I don’t read YA either. I feel bamboozled whenever some suggests a book that sounds good then I find out it’s YA. 😂

Don’t feel bad about getting rid of anything by Nick Cutter. The Troop is the only decent thing he has written. Everything else is trash.

@@Quileryn okay if you like darker fantasy and magical horror then you will definitely like Small Favors. I am a huge dark fantasy/horror reader like you and highly recommend it! I describe it as… folk horror with dark magical realism

I did this when I had to move house four years ago. I think I got rid of three boxes worth and I mean boxes that holds printer paper for businesses. Then when I decided to bring my whole collection of books upstairs a year after the move I did another unhaul and got rid of more books. Now, I periodically unhaul and sell most of the books I won't re-read again or if I DNFed it. My collection is huge and have to make room for new books that I may enjoy and may enjoy taking up space on my shelf with my Living Dead Dolls. That's a lot less to take with you and frees up space on your shelves in your new place. Also, don't feel bad if you bought a book, never read it, and are getting rid of it because you lost interest. I think most of us have done it, no shame in that, it just means someone else will get to enjoy it. 😊💕💕💕

It's funny how people have such different reactions to books...I don't like SJM's writing, no idea why they are so popular. I DID like Holly Black's new book, even though no one else seemed too, haha. So I've made it my new thing to figure out if I'll like a book on my own. Getting rid of books we've spent money on, or were given as a gift is hard, but it's so freeing too! Good job. Good luck on your move!
