It suspected as much after showing the completed tour and because you've mentioned many times renovating then moving on was always the plan! I think renting it out for the time being is a great idea, takes the pressure off buying somewhere else immediately which is such a huge decision, especially in a new area. Congratulations! I know the feeling of buying a house, never intending it to be a forever home, fixing it up and loving it, then moving on. I absolutely loved my first home and there were times I just used to sit in the corner of a room gazing around in love with what I'd done with the place. But it was never going to be my forever home, it was a stepping stone, and while I was sad to leave my perfectly decorated home it was so exciting to move into a giant dated 70s monstrosity and start all over again - I say monstrosity with love the same way your place was a crumbly graffitied monstrosity when you moved in, an ugly home is a joy when you know you can transform it.

I have" done" several houses,all very old( for the States) and when coming to the end was accompanied by friends who actually surrounded me and kept me from going back into the buildings at the very end. From two close ones saying "chuck it! Chuck it!"- Like big exotic birds- telling me to throw out those journals and burn them -to standing in the driveway to keep me from coming back for two hours. We are going to be those friends for you,should you need it. From our distant shores we,many of us,have been through it, as has your Nan,I am sure. Brave girl. That's the only way to go.
