“Today’s episode is not going to be good” is the best way to start a stream. It's that level of self-deprecation and not even trying to sell what you are producing that I identify with. I swear you are the disembodied commentary I hear in my head. Love you Boze!

I think it’s so funny how Boze does a podcast at night and it unironically turns into just a streamline of just late night thoughts. Questioning random science facts, going into conspiracy theories, googling random facts, implementing funny dirty jokes into things, nothing being too serious. The subject topics were very on brand for the hour the episode was filmed and I’m here for it🤣

Hey boze as an adhd where my special interest is space. Everything reflects light to an extent. And that’s how we see it because that light waves meet our eyes. Think on vanta black. It’s so dark that it reflects very little light. So if you paint a statue, instead of looking like a statue it would look like a void. If you want to check out how we see different colour wave lengths there’s a diagram of how light meets butterflies wings that’s really cool.

I had a similar experience with muppet puppets (I would blame it on our spatial perspective as I only stand 5’1, but most anthropomorphic characters -of all sizes, weird me the fuck out). I thought they were the size of toys, which is cool, I could handle that. Right before my 30th birthday I was picking my daughter up from daycare, and the daycare owner had muppet style puppets lying on a table. It was so unnerving, I couldn’t take my eyes off of them, couldn’t turn my back to them. They were the size of small children. Eventually, I had to tell the owner that the puppets scare me, and I really need them to be out of sight when I show up. Also, my daughter is gets weirded out by anthropomorphic characters. I didn’t realize that they bothered me until we were at a Six Flags and she told me she was scared of Scooby Doo. I was like, “the cartoon?” She was like, “no, behind us.” I think I might have peed a little. Then she said, “mom, you’re usually really good about avoiding them. I thought you were going to let him get us.” I didn’t realize I would walk out of my way to avoid park characters. Then I wondered if I made her scared of them, she said, “no, the mall arcade did.”

God, this is amazing, adorable and incredibly frustrating. Hope this doen't come off patronizing, but the fact that you can see an object, say, the cup you're dringking from, is the object reflecting light into your eyes. Everything reflects, that's how seeing happens. It's just that but on huge scale and unobstructed in the vacuum of space. Except for when Earth is there in between either completely or partially when the moon isn't completely visible aka isn't reflecting light on the parts that are in Eaths shadow. On Earth, even when it's dark, there's practically always some light bouncing around in the athmosphere which is why you can still kinda see in the night if it isn't totally pitch black. You remind me of my brothers girlfriend here. I relate to this a lot although my own brain zoomies tend to be of the existential panic kind or the type where you end up in limbo for eternity because you don't know where to start with a task or chore lol. I love it when it gets channelled into learning and finding out strange things. Also, I think you might like some space yt channels😄

1:30 You're talking about OCD lol, must likely pure O OCD, where its mostly mental repetitive intrusive irrational thoughts, mostly routed in "What if xyz?". I tend to repeat something to calm/talk myself down, sometimes i do a compulsion by researching online, or by asking someone [confirmation bias]. Most people think OCD is just neat freaks but ocd is on a spectrum and there are soooo many subtypes like existential ocd, religious ocd, magical thinking ocd, health ocd, basically anything that you can become anxious about and are stuck in a mental loop that is often uncalled for and reoccurring. There are self assessment quizzes online to see if you have ocd and what are your subtypes. With ERP/CBT therapy and/or meds, you can rewire your thoughts so they consume less of your mental bandwith! Hope this helps!

Fun fact! There was once a species of penguin which we’ve nicknamed “Mega Penguin” that was twice as tall as an emperor penguin! Even if it turns out that they weren’t related to penguins, their bones sure do look like it. Another fun fact: the tallest bird in the world is the Common Ostrich, which can grow up to 9ft tall! That can also be a nightmare fact depending on who you are lol. Edit: I like to think that somewhere, somehow, these extinct penguins still thrive in isolation. But like… we’d probably see bones by now.
