How do you know that? All you see is content that they tailor to make themselves look good. I’m not saying he’s a bad guy. But don’t make assumptions like this based off a couple videos where they don’t ever dare show a bad deal. Most of these watch dealers are the lowest form of scum bro. Not all of them, and maybe not him, but still. Do your due diligence. What happens when the camera isn’t filming is what really matters. For example, that guy Peter that was working at LB, the watchmaker/delaer. You’d think he’s a genuine guy right? You’d think he’s a skilled watchmaker right? A lot of people on his channel seem to think he is! But I’ll tell you right now, from what I seen, the dude is as shady as they come. First off, I’ve seen his work. He sold one of my clients an Explorer I that he polished, and in the midst of polishing it, he fucked up the hairspring on a balance. A 600$ part. Told my client it was running perfectly, yet when my client got it, it was hardly fucking running. The timegrapher couldn’t even read it casue it had such a low amplitude from the hairspring grazing the balance bridge. Little fn douche bag couldn’t even be bothered to bring it back to flat. A 30 min - 1 hour job if you know what you’re doing. But I guess Peter ran out of talent. Even in his own channel, he shows himself “fixing” a stutterin Rolex in a tutorial like fashion. Guy didn’t even decase the watch. Stated in the comments that it hadn’t been serviced in 20 years yet all he does is ducking replace the mainspring. Guy straight up didn’t care about his client enough to do a proper job. Yet he goes on to say that he doesn’t use AFM eBay junk, and shows himself “opening” a package that you can clearly tell had already been opened. My point is a lot of it is smoke and mirrors bro. People portraying a fake ass image and hiding behind reputations.

I think something you may not realize is the fact that you moved towns and uprooted your life to want something better for yourself. How many of us would honestly just keep that job home depot job and be complacent? Not only that you thrived and did well in a completely different field. That confidence you have developed in yourself is priceless and will carry on to whatever you choose to do. Just gotta risk it for the biscuit get some wins and build on it.

If I remember correctly, you came from out of state for a job at LB. And you were a top seller at one point. But I think LB lost $2M on wholesale accounts because of defaults, thus the focus on retail. I think in recent times retail of the secondary market has become a challenge because of the dropping prices.
