@@Cricket0021 I think the only system they need is to mute you in game after a warning. No bans, penalties or anything. A warning when you start excessively cursing and a system mute WITHOUT REPERCUSSIONS if you overdo it is fair for everyone. Everything else is pointless and makes it worse. People simply LIKE heated exchange. Any comment section is a living proof of that.

@@Lazarus_ReSpawn dota has that and its really the best thing that htey ever did. if a teammate starts uncontrollably typing slurs and cuss words, the system auto mutes them. toxic chat is easily solved by mute button, whether its from the system auto muting the guy or the other players muting the toxic guy.

Honestly, abuse of the report system should be a permabannable offensive. It's unhealthy for the game and it sets a bad precedent for player interaction. If players get penalized for "light trash talk" or even just banter, it shows with certainty Riot caters to sore losers and soy players.

There's tooltips in the loading screens that mention light trash talk is fine. It's not like Trick is using hate speech or something. The issue here is that soy players get salty after losing and report people out of spite. The system flags you for these reports (false or not) and sometimes you can get penalized for even the most mundane, harmless banter. In this line of thinking, the Riven should have also been penalized for her use of "light trash talk". I mean for God sake, you can get penalized for just pinging someone or their items a few times. The game caters to sore losers and actively goes out of it's way to punish players for even interacting in the first place.
