My experience is that SOME animals are just non-aggressive while others seem to be born with an attitude.. no matter how much love and attention you give them. Certainly giving young animals lots of attention increases the chances of a good relationship BUT.. there are no guarantees. We were really nice to all our Bronze Medallion Turkeys... BUT.. when the Tom matured.. OMG...It tried to kill our kids. Not Good... but..NOBODIES FAULT. Sometimes you hit the jackpot... sometimes... not so much. From what I hear..Jason & Brooke really hit The Jackpot with their guy Nugget. Not a lot of "Nuggets" out there.

I don't like the turkeys either, I was chased by one when I was little. It chased me down the farm road and fell into a ravine. My dad and uncle rescued me , the next week our family was invited back to my uncles house. He lives on a farm, we had turkey for dinner . I got to choose first what piece I wanted. He said that was the turkey that chased me, and I said good!

I’ve heard tales about a pretty vicious rooster over the years. Ever watch useless farm here on KZbin? She’s got a pair of emus and the female is beyond something else! The male is a sweetheart.

I had a terrifying experience with a Rhode Island Red Rooster. I was four. His big wings beat at me, as he clung to my back with his nails, and 'pinched' me with his beak. I thought for sure that he was going to eat me. Our landlords, (his owners) had a dinner, but I suspected that it was that beautiful rooster whose feathers shined in the Arizona sunlight. He had haunted me for weeks. My mother was crippled and had sent me to check the outdoor privy that day of all days. I was scared, but there was no sign of the rooster. So, I checked the toilet then as I turned to leave, I saw him coming from the back of the structure. Slowly, he approached, I froze at first, and said something like, "Hello rooster," softly and yet knowing that I had been unsuccessful in evoking any sign of friendship. He glared at me and slowly scratched the earth, preparing to charge, as he got closer and closer, he sped up the scratching, and I saw his legs spring into action and turned to run as fast as I could back to our tent, but -of course- he got me. I felt him land and I screamed, his wings seemed enormous and dangerous. He pulled at my skin with his beak as he held on with his talons. I was horrified. In the meantime my mother had made it to the tent door. He dropped off as I neared the tent door, and he prepared himself to take on my mother. She told me to hand her the cane, which I did, but she missed him, time and again. He was dodging and charging, then finally he settled and walked off as though disgusted with his lack of any real victory. As we sat at the dinner table, the four adults were all smiling, but I was not. They had killed one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. I was sick at heart that I had likely caused his death. I still think of him once in awhile. I was so sorry to have caused his death, even though it had not been my choice. If I were younger and had the means I would have me some chickens and one would be a Rhode Island Red rooster. I wanted so much for him to like me. I think the secret is with those two legged wonders, is to to never let them know you fear them. This reportedly works for geese too. But, I cannot guarantee it. I love geese to. And your little Emu is darling. I loved having your share your new aquisitions. (sp?)

Your precious kittens remind me of mine. They are into everything and on every possible surface they can reach. They use my poor legs as climbing post. My legs look like they have a disease! Called cat claw syndrome!😂😂😂 Mine are 3 black 1 light gray and one Smokey gray. Names are popper, root-n-toot, rowdy the runt, rascal the ornery, and Bebop! Oh they are full of energy and poop! Thank goodness for litter boxes. I have a small one easy for them to get in, and now they’ve figured out how to get in moms big potty. There’s a lot of pooo getting hauled around here. Feels like ten pounds a day!!😂😂😂 I love the little sweeties and hate that I have to re-home them. They are going to be great for whoever gets them. ❤❤❤

So funny! Whenever I hear a turkey gobble I pause and listen to outside my window. Most every time it's your turkey lol. Here in Eastern Washington State it's the height of wild turkey breeding season. We live on a creek with a very steep mountain behind us. Perfect place for the hens to nest. It really drives our guardian dog nuts. They're apparently up just a bit to high for him to actually get them,

I had a friend with alpacas they liked bananas and lettuce also apples but cut small they tend to choke on larger pieces, one was particularly fond of watermelon. Cant wait for the new baby donkey. 😊😊

You should check Fancy's tail ligaments. If you can pull the tail up over her back, she is almost ready to foal. I saw her wag her tail and it looked a little loose. :)

Fancy loved those apples..she has become so much more approachable hasn't she..was very standoffish when she first arrived with Fiona and Felicia..
