We build our deer feeders out of old 55 gal barrels. Weld inch and a quarter pipe 8 inches long to a wide strap at a sharp angle. Bend the strap up 90 degrees one inch from each end, wrap strap around barrel, bolt the ends together. For legs we use pipe, the top rail of chain link fence works pretty good, shove inside weld on legs. Then we add texas hunter products. Inside funnel, top lid, motor with timer, varmint guard, 12 volt battery and a solar charger. Our feeders have been in use over 15 years. Good Luck on your hunt. 💛

Sound is good. You need to buy a 4 in 1 bucket for the Branson. they make life so much easier. I bought one for my tractor and would never go back to the conventional bucket

I like the little 5 gallon feeders. Yes, you have to refill a more often, but easier to place and move around, plus it gives you a reason to go out in the woods and check on things.

Hank I have the same feeder. Have had it running for 4 yrs now. Gave $100 for mine at walmart for the money darn good feeder. The motor assembly can be turned 180 degrees placing the door between the poles that are farthest apart. Also if you have pig problems. They will bump and rub against the legs causing the leg channel on inside to bust. That has been only thing that has gone wrong on mine. But if you drive t-post in the ground and fasten legs to them you can solve that issue. Hope this helps. Other than that really good product. I've stuck with wild game innovations due to quality I also use their range finder and trail camera. Have enjoyed their products alot. And i am by no means sponsors by them.
@HamiltonvilleFarm3 жыл бұрын
I like their cameras a lot. But the legs on this one have already bent. I'll try to turn the motor around. Thanks 👍
@Ontimecontractors9033 жыл бұрын
You'll have to wait till its empty now or corn will hit the ground unless you have something to catch it in. I also left one section of leg off of mine. It felt like it was to tall and limber. But wild game has wonderful tech support and I'm sure they will send you a new set of legs for it.

Yeah they are pain. I converted mine to gravity feed but were not very stable when filled with those legs...and leg inserts in barrel kept breaking so think I have one left but stays in my little barn. I just got 3 of the small Moultrie gravity feeds that hang on trees or T-posts that hold one bag of corn or pellets. Simple and cheap and easier to fill than that thing. I like a new one I see that is low on ground and spins feed to top and spreads but very expensive....

The people who designed deer feeders are definitely not Hunters I haven't found one yet that was worth a darn I will say though if you are determined to use them replace those cheap legs with something better like fence rail top post I think another commenter suggested already, those are much better but I have gone so far as to put heavy gauge pipe in the ground to no avail if there are bears or hogs in the area they will knock it down I've pretty much given up on feeders I just do Food plots and throw some corn on the ground every once in awhile seems to keep them around pretty good got two bucks this year. 🎯🎯 the Bears are really something man they chewed a hole and tore apart the last feeder I had which was identical to the one you got there happy Hunting Hank.
