Thank you so much for making this video! I feel like there are so many “feminist” posts on social media of what a feminist is suppose to be. But, if you’re for being a good wife to your husband, then everyone comes at you that you need to get a job. It’s very frustrating, and I’m just trying to look to The Lord for how I’m suppose to respond to them. I’m a proud stay at home wife (soon to be mom), and I’m proud of what I do for my husband, and what my husband does for our family!❤️ love you!

Great thoughts Nastasia! Many non Christians don't understand the concept that men & women are different, and they have different strengths and weaknesses (designed by God, but we can also observe it with science as well). It doesn't make one sex better than the other, they're just different from each other. Ephesians 5 talks about the husband being the head of the wife. At the same time, the wife should be counseling the husband on all major decisions the man must make for his family. A few verses later, the passage also discusses how husbands are to love their wife, just as Christ loves the church. This means giving himself up for her if needed & protecting her. Christ gave himself up for the church.

@@huskiefan06 I don't think feminism is trying to do such thing. The basic idea of feminism is equality. We do live in a society where men come first, and feminism supports the notion that it's ok for women to be equal to men, in aspects such as salaries, respect etc. For example a stay at home mum is a full time job; yet women oftentimes need to work extra in order to support their families whereas this is not expected from men who work full time. Equality in opportunities and obligations. Nobody says men are less. Society sometimes says that women are, though.
@huskiefan06

@@MsRiaaa What you're discussing is what feminism "used" to stand for, but no longer. Now, teachers are told not to refer to their students as boys or girls. In NYC, parents don't have to check off male or female on birth certificates, they can check off "x." Modern day feminism is helping cause gender confusion.

@@huskiefan06 That's not feminism, that's gender identity issues addressed wrong. I still stand and support what I wrote, as for me this is feminism. Steven True I believe you are saying this out of ignorance... because if you read the whole bible you would know how much God loves women... and their culture was indeed male dominated at the time... but Jesus himself treated them with Love and respect... he even taught them and the women were able to follow him and learn... which was completely unheard of at the time for women to able to do at all... during that time Jewish women were not even allowed to be educated... much less learn from a teacher... their role was to be at home only... I hope you will read the whole bible in better context... Jesus stood up for women when their culture and traditions at the time would not have..

baguem’s kpop how does one verse pulled out of one book that is a compilation of one sided letters prove that God does not love women at all? Take into consideration the context: time, place, culture surrounding them. Also, not to mention translation issues. That verse in the original Greek seems to read “I do not permit THAT woman to teach or have authority over a man.” Seems like a specific issue they were having with a specific woman, probably a woman in the cult of Diana who believed that men came from a woman first not the other way around. Paul addresses that in the next verse. The verse that follows saying women are saved through childbearing is also a poor translation and should better say “women will be safe in childbearing”. Which is another verse addressing the false beliefs of those worshipping Diana.

Genevieve Pierre Charles, yes, I am grateful to God that I was able to be a stay at home mom with my two kids, my husband was in the service so it made things possible for me. But later on in life, I went back to school (after having our first child so young while still in high school) obtained my Bachelor and Master's degree. And even published my first book this year "CHOSEN" and working on book two and three. I always wanted to be a wife and stay at home mother, but that came with a price, my husband was very jealous and didn't allow me to explore the outside world, so I felt I missed out on life, we married the next day after I graduated from high school and had been together since I was fourteen years. As a man, I think this video is near perfect. As a 24 year old single man, I despise how feminism (third wave, modern feminism) has so perverted the culture. Most young women I see have been influenced to at least some extent by feminism, which vilifies men, makes women far less attractive by corrupting their character, and teaches women to be more independent and postpone marriage and family. I actually want a traditional, family-oriented woman. I have a good career with the military. I'm pursuing my bachelor's in engineering to possibly go further. I have recently purchased my first home. And, most importantly, I have a strong faith and relationship in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I want a woman who has a strong relationship with Jesus and strong Christ-like character. And, her priority should be to her family. She should desire to get married and have a family of her own. Yet, I only ever really hear young women talk about their career or college. It's not wrong for a woman to work outside the home or get a college education. Yet, when I hear so little about family and only hear about these other things, it turns me off and doesn't interest me. The Bible says she's a precious and rare jewel, so I'm content with waiting. I'd much rather be single than married to some feminist or career-woman.

I know everyone has their own preference, but I grew up in a household where both of my parents worked and both equally were God fearing. I never understood the notion of some Christian men (typically are white men sorry) that believe women should only be housewives. The church I grew up in have majority of the married couples (including the First Lady) has both spouses working in order to keep ends meet. Therefore I truly believe this preconception of a “godly” women being a housewife is purely a cultural and not biblical ideology.

@@phoenyxgaston9295 So, if you read my comment more carefully, you'll see that I never said she had to be exclusively a housewife. I said her priority is the home. Read Proverbs 31. This virtuous woman obviously works beyond the home, but she knows her priorities. By the way, while it may be the case that some couples need to both work outside the home to make ends meet, I typically find that to be more due to living beyond your means. For me, I take full responsibility for the financial provision of my family. If my wife wants to have her own business, or can do more, she is free to do so. But, I'll never get in the situation where we depend on her income and she has to work. For her, it's a freedom. For me, that's my responsibility.

SPEAK TRUTH!!! Chivalry is a dying trait within our society's men. Women, there is nothing wrong with getting help from a man. I know we do it to look "equal" or "as capable" as our coworkers. To avoid the image of the "damsel in distress." But there is nothing, absolutely NOTHING wrong with receiving help. News flash - We can't do it all ourselves. And what would you rather have? Rude coworkers who ignore your obvious struggle as you try to prove your worth? Or a gentleman who just wants to lend a kind helping hand? And just because a man opens a door doesn't mean he thinks you're not capable of handling yourself. Ever stop to think that just maybe, maybe, he may just want to be respectful and treat you like the woman you are? I learned this myself a few years back when a cousin opened the door of the car to help with groceries. I told him that it was fine and that I could do it myself. Take care of myself. It wasn't until later that I realized I had just turned down his respectful, chivalrous act just so I could emphasize my "capable" image. How many times have we done so in our lives? Feminism is not what they portray it to be. It's no longer about equality. It's about women's supposed superiority above men and the emphasis on men as the enemy. Men are not the enemy. Women are not the enemy. They are partners in this life, made to complement each other's strengths. Please end this hate. God bless! ❤🙏

I agree that the idea that women are better or should hate men is a very warped and disappointing path that some feminism has taken but a lot of the people who spread that message are what you find in any group, which is extremists. They don't represent a whole group of people. Real feminism is equality between genders, no one being better or worse, women and men being respected the same. This includes men being treated as monsters or as low lives: They definitely are not, as you said, and are just PEOPLE like anyone else. I also liked your example about holding the door open for someone being as I agree, no matter what a simple thank you is all that is needed because man or woman someone doing something nice for you is just them doing something nice for you, nothing more. So that being said I really think anyone who thinks that men are the enemy, or that women are the enemy, is not a real feminist (in my opinion) and they are poorly reflecting on a group with very simple ideals which is just intersectional equality. I wanna say lastly, though, before this comment gets any longer that feminism is just a label and whether people decide to use it or not it's pretty straightforward that we should all just support each other as brothers and sisters of the Lord. Sorry this was crazy long yikes and probably a mess of information, this is all just my opinion and in no way an attempt to change your mind or anyone elses, just wanted to give my thoughts! Thanks and hope you have a super awesome blessed week ahead x

Speaking as a Christian feminist here- Most feminists do not act/think the way you are describing them. Of course the media covers the most radical feminists, because that makes for the most interesting stories. But most feminist women don't hate men, we don't walk around without a bra on, etc. Even though women have more rights in our contemporary American culture, there are a lot of women who do not have those rights elsewhere. We have a lot of progress to make to deconstruct the damage done by gender/societal norms and to further the voices of all people, men and women alike. Women have only been able to vote for 100 years. Women weren't allowed to serve in the military until the 1930's. If a married couple got divorce before the 1970's, everything they owned would go straight to the husband and the woman would be left with nothing. And that was only 50 years ago! Yes we have made progress in equality, but we have a long long ways to go. I think more Christians need to recognize this problem and realize that we don't hate men, we just want equality for all.

I agree with you we are equal but different but still we need to push equality. in this world everyone has there own opinion as long as it does not step on others and oppress people I am fine with it . we should be happy we are not born on those olden times , god truly loves men and women equally .and don’t forget even if there are 2 genders there are many many sexual identities. So we must respect them too , it’s their accountability. We should not hate or kill them

i'm feminist and it's really sad how people are taking feminism in a wrong way, feminism is not about being savage or break the rules, it's about doing whatever your dream is and supporting other women while doing it if it was good and EVEN if it was about being a house wife, stop bringing other women down for supporting them on hating men or themselves, feminism is a real beautiful thing that you should actually learn about💓

I agree with you that there is a specific type of feminism that is really hateful and anti-men but there are still forms of feminism that is extremely positive. Especially feminism dealing with WOC who deal with other discriminatory practices. Many WOC still face a disproportionate rate of injustices in the judicial system when it comes to sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking

To me, the main point of feminism is that men and women should have the same legal rights and ultimately be given the same opportunities in society. I'm guessing you're okay with that, even if you may not agree with feminism as it is today. Whatever differences there are between men and women don't justify having unequal rights and opportunities. Also, I personally don't think men and women are a whole lot different in abilities, except for child rearing and the fact that men typically are a bit physically stronger. Men and women are equally capable of most jobs and data shows that men and women tend to gravitate towards similar things when raised in egalitarian settings.

I think the idea behind feminism is okay but those who have been fronting this idea made some errors along the way. At the same time feminism should focus on brining men on board because for women to be treated equally the society should change

I have not dated for almost 10 years because of this mentality and I am sure that is why many men are the way they are now. I will simply explain in a nut shell one example when I was young what I have experienced: My first job in the 80's was flipping burgers at $3.35 per hour min. wage. There were women that also applied for the exact same job and same requirements I had with same pay, but when a woman/women refuse to lift or bend over and do things I had to do and they always called on me to do their part of that job. In other words, I had to do my job and nearly half of theirs. That in turn made them make more take home money than I did when it should have been "EQUAL" work for equal pay. And to this day, unfortunately it has gotten worse, Why is this ?????. Now in todays times I have noticed that women are wanting Godly Christian men in their lives following God's precepts for marriage with husbandly duties, yet the wives do not want to follow God's precepts for wifely duties as described by God, Why????? Another thing that women also tell men and I have been told this too: Men should give their full lives to the wives and die for them like Christ gave his life for the church. Well, first of all, Christ is not Jesus's name, it was a nature/ aspect of Jesus. Christ means "ANNOINTED/ANNOINTING" and the Anointing has never died. Also, I am part of the church just like the women, so how can I give a woman everything she demands and is waiting for ??? and if I do not, there is a divorce ????? That is because the woman is looking for the man to play GOD and supply her with everything, instead of going to GOD herself with her husband in prayer and fasting and waiting on GOD for an answer no matter how long it takes for GOD to answer. I have seen marriages ruined also because women disregard the 2nd husband while her children become first in her life and out of the order of what GOD has commanded, God first, husband and wife second and Children third......................................but instead it is now and has been for many years, Children first, God second and husbands 3rd, Why ????? This is not all that goes on and believe me, Feminism plays a very big role in what I just listed in these tiny examples. And another thing feminist must ask of themselves: Knowing that JESUS is the Husband/Head of the church, the body of Christ (ANNOINTING) the bride, will they threaten Jesus with divorce and other horrible things the way feminists treat their husbands and relationships now a days?????? I do not believe Jesus will bow to this. Seriously think about this and consider it. Jesus seeks glory to be HIS only and he will not share, so how can a feminist demand they get paid the same glory as Jesus ???? Don't the feminist demand Equal pay for equal work ?????? So tell me how they will get glory for what Jesus does in their life, marriages and relationships ???????

I feel the same way, and often feel as if I am looked down on from other women, because I am not a feminist. I do agree with some of the things that they stand for, such as empowering women. But as you said, it takes away from that and replaces everything that feminism should stand for with hatred. It is as if we have to be against all men, but the whole point is for men and women to be looked at equally!!

I'm sorry that your experience with feminism has been toxic, it certainly hasn't been my experience which is why I consider myself to be Christian and a feminist.

The only thing it takes for evil to win, is for the good people to do nothing. And if you do nothing in face of what you perceive to be an injustice, you are part of the problem. Men have not been "satanized" by the media because they're all perfect angels. But because almost every single woman has felt unsafe because of, at the very least one man every single time she walks out of her house. And I absolutely agree on the fact that not all men are evil, same as not all woman are evil. But when a girl is being chased, catcalled or harassed by a dude (in a club, for example) and other men do nothing, what's the point on them being good guys? Are they really good guys? It happens much more often that the girl is assisted by another girl. And the men? Yeah, they themselves would probably not harass a woman. But they would not stop it from happening either. And again, i know not all men are like this. God has blessed me with wonderful men in my family and friendgroup. However, yes, I agree on the fact that Feminism (or at least some big part of it) has been portrayed nd used as a weapon against men. Which beats the original purpose of it. Feminism looks for equality. And its goal is to take down patriachy. My fave and go-to recomendation when someone tells me they do not understand or disagree with Feminism, is the speech Emma Watson gave for HeForShe. Because I feel like you do not hate feminism, but what it has come to generally represent (understandably so, cuz I myself hate the fact that some people have twisted it into something much less noble than what it actually is)

OMG I was just telling my mom about this.. that what is the point of women if they are doing everything that men do and not what women were created to do (nurture and care)? It's not an "equal" problem, it's a love from God problem, because people feel that they aren't loved because they don't know God's love, so they feel like they have to do something to earn that attention (which they think will suffice) by becoming equal to men... But God loved us for our OWN gender, not because we were the same, but because we are different

Steelman the argument: Though I agree with many of your points. You have to look at it from the perspective of someone that holds the LABEL and says "not my feminism" (I'm not a feminist, this is just an explanation of what I am about to say). You are a Christian. Even if every Christian was "bad" and cheated and broke every commandment. Would that make you "not a Christian" because of the people? I would argue no. So in the eyes of Feminists... Every feminist could be "bad" but to that one feminist.. it is the people that are imperfect not the "institution" of feminism. So citing bad feminists and what feminists do only get you so far. Just like citing hypocrites within the Christian faith only gets you so far. It is about the Platform and the visible arguments made... now THAT is what makes me not a feminist. As you know people are imperfect. But god's law is perfect, then it doesn't matter what people do if they aren't practicing God's law like they should. Feminism's "theories" are what makes feminists want to be feminists. Would you think it would be weird to here someone say "I am a Christian but don't believe in Christ"? me too.. WEIRD. Now, to me it would be equally weird to hear someone say "I'm a feminist but don't believe in feminist theory" I'm not a feminist because there are no visible arguments chastising most talking points presented by the movement. such as Manspreading, Mansplaining, Toxic Masculinity, Pro-Choice, (while pro-life feminists exist, they get kicked out of feminist marches for this belief proving mainstream feminism is about abortion). The wage gap. I mean pick a talking point and they rarely provide any truth to it. That is why I'm not a feminist. It's not the people, it's the institution and the talking points provided.

Nastasia, I appreciate you being willing to speak out your thoughts on this volatile topic. I would add that feminism never was about equality, or giving women the same rights as men. That's a modern assumption, that we project backward into history, to justify our current way of thinking. "Well, of course we're right. We're more morally upstanding than those old cave men in the past!" (which isn't true, either) I suggest listening to ChristyOMisty and her thoughts on the matter. She gives us the history of feminism, who the suffragettes really were, and what women of the day really thought about it all. You might be shocked. kzbin.info/www/bejne/laKZZ3t8pKutqs0
