I think the better way to word it is, the love she WISHED was there. Cause in the end we never saw any of it and it’s kinda hard to believe there was much coming from the mother. Maybe there was some long ago? I absolutely LOVE I’m Not a Monster series. They are so well drawn (alike the other ones) the music is so fitting and it some how breaks my heart every time. The fact that the boy was just trying to help his sister and he was killed and I don’t blame her but it’s still not his fault. She had gone through a lot but that is no reason to kill someone. But she may have just been blinded of her own sadness and anger. I didn’t watch it right lol 😂 By the way, love the plot twist. Edit: The fact she tried to save him while she was getting his toy but she fell and had her to catch him and the song says “am I the one to blame?” No. She is not the one to blame. 💔 These origin stories of these misunderstood “monsters” always find a way to smash my heart into little pieces. I don’t think they’re trying to hurt them I think they’re just blinded with, traumatizing moments, rage, sadness, etc. It’s sorta like people. People do things that they don’t do when they’re sort of “blinded” It’s completely normal but it’s not right but at the same time it’s not all their fault.

This was so beautiful and heart wrenching. To see mommy long legs' backstory to a sweet, innocent little child with a rough childhood and later kidnapped by playtime co., which turned her into a toy abomination based on her memories. And the last scene where she saw that girl as herself which gave her back her humanity and looked back on her touching moment with her mother and brother as well as the reason of what happened to her brother and when she ran away. Mommy Long Legs truly is NOT a monster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Playtime co. is so I hope the end of the game we see everything they love burn for what they've done to this poor child as well as everyone else they've turned there own experimental victims.
