Y'all... The way I SOBBED over Bill and Frank, I don't think I'll ever get over it. Best piece of television I've watched in a long, LONG time. Joel and Ellie have my whole heart, like they are my FAMILY. I'm becoming wayyy too invested in them, and I know it's gonna get my feelings hurt!!
If you bawled like you've never bawled before, give this video a like, respectfully comment your thoughts (no spoilers obvi), and as always, SUBSCRIBE!!! Or don't. I can't make you. :)

This episode actually subverts the "bury your gays" trope, not embodying it. There is no suffering, no struggle, they aren't killed by someone, and they don't become infected. They die embracing their love exactly the way they want to. They have probably the happiest ending anyone in this show is ever going to get.

I'd like a spin-off where it's just interaction between Tess and Frank for 30 minutes. They had that hardened feminine woman + outgoing gay bestie dynamic

This show brought me to your channel because it’s a story I love so much, that I’m watching every reaction I can. Yours is a great reaction… I love how you pick up subtle things that most don’t. Overall, a great reaction. I’m digging the honest and artist-intended vibe you are recognizing. I can’t wait to watch more.

In the game, we never really see Frank, especially in his time with Bill. Bill remains a bitter, isolated person (he actually drives Frank away). Bill's life, in the game, is a cautionary tale for Joel. In the show, Bill becomes a "beacon" for Joel. Both help Joel get back on track, but the show's version is so much more, because of the alterations.

"i don't know who the bad person is" ooh, so you unintentionally hit the nail on the head with that one. that's kind of the point. it's the philosophy of most apocalypse stories - there are no heroes in this world. it's just people trying to survive and they get all wrapped up and consumed by their anger & grief and, no matter how much people may try to cling to the light, they end up becoming the monster that they're supposed to be fighting in the process and so they end up fighting each other.

As others have said, I don't see it as a tragic story. It is life and this is what happily ever after actually looks like. Certainly in that world and it is a much better happily ever after than most of us get in this world.

the writers said that Frank had something neurodegenerative like parkinsons or ALS. Also if you go back and listen to Bill and Frank's song it becomes easier to understand why Bill was so mortified at Frank's butchering of it.

The series was filmed at a variety of locations in Alberta, Canada. On outbreak day, Joel and Sarah kept missing eating bascules, birthday cake... pancakes... every flour-based food that could hurt them. Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett... swept in and made you believe in love again... The Nerve! But Joel and Ellie had to work to find their love - s-l-o-w-ly and cautiously and against the broken world they are struggling through. The road ahead will prove much. much, tougher than we wanted for these two. BTW, Kathleen is NOT 'nice.'

So the game has a group called hunters... Basically random bad guys that served only to be a filler... What the show has done quite fantastically is have the hunters be a real entity and Kathleen as a figurehead is just genius.... It's amazing they gave names and personality to what was generic nps's and it feels sooooooo much more realistic for it.

Bill and Frank it's a whole different ball game when you play the video game I don't want to spoil it but it's way different than what you see in the TV show Nick Offerman did a phenomenal job as Bill I was not expecting this much from it and I loved we got to see more time with Bill and Frank in the TV show compared to the game awesome masterpiece of aversion compared to the game! In the game for the gun for Ellie to get a gun she does it all the way through the game until she gets a gun from Joel it's a running kind of joke almost for some people cuz she always wants a gun just like the TV show version but a little different! Episode 4 insane was not expecting what it is! We're going to get a lot more Joel and Ellie in this episode and they're banter they're playing with words with each other annoying each other Ellie getting on Joel's nerves and here comes my favorite thing when Ellie brings out the pun book! There is a lot of humor in the game once you meet Ellie and Joel when they get these two characters together then you see some humor come forward!

When you said imagine being that touch starved, it just made me think of my own life.. Bill went at least what, 4 years without seeing/touching another person? He was a loner beforehand so ill put on another two years of no physical human contact just to be safe. I ended my streak about two years ago, but since then it's gone back to the way it was unfortunately.. and before two years ago I had gone 8 years without touching anyone.. Not so much as like hands touching when reaching for the same thing, or brushing against someone trying to move past them.. I can definitely say from experience how awful it feels. And because of what ended up happening two years ago, I'm at a point now where the thought of physical touch actually makes my skin crawl...
