This feels like a frantic rush to survive when someone knows theyre dying, crawling and scratching and screaming as they claw their way out of the clutches of death because they realized that after all this, they dont want to die just yet because they love someone OR a main character that knows theyre dying and are taking their opponent down with them....

For me, I don't mind being alone. Socially, I only have a few friends, I wouldn't really so much as call more than 2 a close friend. However, what I've always feared is when I died, I would have been so god damn insignificant that the world will simply go on without me. That no one would remember the person I was, that the world would not bear the mark that I inscribed in just days. That I would be lonely, sad, discovered by a neighbour fused to a f*cking sofa at the age of 78 because people only started noticing the smell 2 weeks later. That my only lasting memory would be no more than a sad story that's been heard a thousand times. That my only lasting sign would be a horrid smell in the floorboards.

Kinda hits different when you've lost all hope, pushing yourself foreward in every way possible till you can no more, no end or break in sight, you just must do what you can to keep up with the fast pace of life, one that you can barely keep up with at this point. You heal, albeit slowly and almost imperceptibly, all hope seems lost, you're exhausted, you can just struggle and keep living on stubbornly, until life has sense no more. What are you tiring yourself out so much for? But time passes, and you push on, you somehow *do* make it. Because that's just how humans are. They push onward and adapt to the weirdest and hardest of conditions. And then, in this incessant, endless road, walking forward one step at a time, you finally recover enough. You see the road ahead. Many, many times over, you thought of taking the easy road, to stop walking the tunnel, turn around and say goodbye. But now you're sure. After lasting on for so long without much of a reason despite your strain and broken, overworked self, you can finally stand with your back straight, wiping your sweat, yet another sign reminding you of your hard work to get here, an amused, yet almost proud smirk on your face as you can't help let out a slight chuckle at the sight before you. You're grinning? You didn't think you'd ever do that ever again, this all reminding you of the past when you could still smirk while taking on impossible challenges one after the other, a determined look on your face as you're ready to tackle the mountain ahead, the 'final boss', but well, to be fair it's just one of many. The thought still doesn't discourage you. You smile as if looking at an old friend.

As the journey reaches its end, you realize what have you done along the way, it was nor good nor evil, you did what you had to, and that brought you here, to your final breath, but even at your last moments you can see you are not alone, they are with you, they're your friends, you can see how sad are them and how you cant let them down. So if you have to die giving your all, you know at least it was worth to someone

Dying alone in a way feels conforting to me, although it is terrifying, it's still a blessing to know some will not have to go through the pain of a close one dying.

Man you can really feel it in this one. Yeah, I'm on my way out- but I won't be going alone. 👊 Its hopelessly heroic in one context, sad in another and evil in the next. You can take it a lot of different ways, but my favorite version is the idea that they are a good person whose up against the ropes and on the wrong side of right. A good person who did bad things for the right reasons and now they're dead-set on seeing it through. Its very well done.
