I'm Not Givin' Up was written in 1996. My husband had a five and a half year addiction to heroine. It was just three days after I wrote this song that my husband checked into drug treatment. He stayed sober the rest of his life. Praise God!

The Gold City Quartet is a dynasty in Southern Gospel Music! This song is my Favorite gold city song, but has anyone else noticed the piano work here??? Neatly tucked away in the overall blend of voices and music is some sweet finger work.

Yes and Yes! While the harmony is absolutely some of the best in gospel music, I also can appreciate someone who can play the piano like this! I was blessed to lead a ministry in a retirement home and our group could just set and listen to our pianist play! Especially when he would play Victory in Jesus! You would just wait to see the smoke start pouring from the keys and I don't mean from pounding the keys. His fingers would literally just float across them! A true gift from God!
