My own questions are: 1. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ACCUSSED'S FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT - TO ONE CALL? 2. IN WHAT DEMOCRACY IS AN ACCUSED ASKED TO ADDRESS THE COURT WITHOUT HIS LAWYER (unless he chose to)? C'mon guys, we're just fooling ourselves - THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY - unless it's the Nigerian Brand of it!😃

The hope in Nigeria...l have listened to lawyers concerning Mr Kanu and l have been mighty impressed by the courage and equity of certain lawyers. I am Igbo but l disagree with Nnamdi kanu agenda but l defend his right to say what he wants. God please protect those that are just and make Nigeria a Just Nation.

Dr Abati your question answers itself with another question, "Is British citizenship superior to Nigerian citizenship?" Before nko? 😂 Nice lecture Bar Ifeanyi Ejiofor, "...when will reach the bridge we will cross it..." i just love those reservations.
@kolawoletony22663 жыл бұрын
Don't mind him. The point the lawyer was making has to do with the fact that Kanu traveled to Kenya on a British passport and it's against the law to hand him over to another country he hasn't claimed citizenship.

Reuben Abati likes to be called “Dr Reuben Abati” and calls Sunday Igboho “Chief Sunday Igboho” but can’t be polite and neutral to address MNK as “Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”. He is always calling “Nnamdi Kanu”. Mazi simply means “Mr” in Igboland. Not that it matters but Abati’s bias is to be pointed out.

@Lauraqueen F Exactly my thought, I despise the way that man thinks, he is just too biased. He doesn't ask u a question he tells u what he thinks just like u said and again that makes the person being interviewed not to tackle "a question" but end up trying to counter or address Mr Abati's assertions. That's clear biased journalism, very evil I must say.
@deleamedu22203 жыл бұрын
Everybody’s now claiming to be a lawyer even those who never practiced law for a day, yet they all claim to be lawyers. Abati speaks more like an aide to Abubakar Malami and Buhari than an unbiased journalist throughout this interview. When will Nigerian journalists stop being biased? Very unfortunate

Reuben Abati read law in 1999 at the Lagos state university while Tundu Abiola is a UK trained lawyer so, they are not claiming anything but actually knowledgeable in the law.
