I like how this animatic shows that one of Blues' most prominent character flaws is his inability to face his problems directly. He never admits it, but in the Archie comics, one of Blues' deepest core issues was that he always ran from personal problems he couldn't immediately answer.

​@NWtheLordofHellflame7432 Blues/Protoman is under the impression that Dr Light replaced him with Rock/Mega Man and Roll. Because of this, he's filled with resentment and uncertainity about his purpose in life, leading him to work for Dr Wily. By contrast, Rock doesn't hate Proto and wants to co-exist with him as brothers. But he won't let Wily get away with his evil either, and thus we get their fights here.

​​@@NWtheLordofHellflame7432 Protoman was thought as dead, he thought he got "replaced" by megaman, he wonders what he is suposed to be now, since megaman is filling the role as Dr. Light's son that he used to. When megaman says "you are suposed to be my brother" he means that he is still Light's son, just like mega man is, neither of them need to take the place of the the other, they both have a place as Light's sons, but this is what Proto Man can't understand yet.

I love how the key-frames for Proto-Man's jump is synced up with the "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!" Very nice touch.

You see at the end of Episode IV that Blues defects from Wily as he was merely a double agent who was still on his own family's side (despite resentment for his father).

I do prefer the more morally dubious characterization they gave Blues in the Archie Comics. It is honestly really fun to have a Protoman who is actually against the Light family. Although seeing him occasionally help Rock is a treat as well.

I always relate to Blues when I hear this. I had a twin brother, but my family never really saw me. He was the trophy child. At first, I was jealous of him. Being born first, even by five minutes, I felt it was my duty to protect him. He always has accomplished more than I have, and I was envious. Recently, though, I've left behind that anger and bitterness to make sure he's happy. He's getting married soon, and he's gonna go far. The message at the end- I know what it's like to lose a brother. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm certain Ryan would have loved this indeed. RIP, Ryan. I'm glad he inspired you to keep doing art. Keep him in your mind, and never forget the good times.

SPCTR SPCTR Creates As I finish 12th grade, I reflect on what I struggled with when I was younger and I would question why my younger brother got the better benefits when I was young. I had 3 different disorders/disabilities, some people would think I would never be successful if they would say to my mother. I would be pushed harder than my brother to do well in school, It’s hard for me to conversation with people and I would be bullied by the way I would express myself all the way until 9th grade as I would be rejected and unappreciated during those times by other people, even I had a few teachers hating me because they would and 1 of them I would be falsely accused of things, my parents believed that for good amount of time until the the principal was able to speak up for me knowing I would not do such harm. 4 yrs later someone told me that it was someone else doing the negative actions but I was framed. I remember complaining why my brother would have everything easier than me when he went through 8 of the grades already. Nevertheless my parents still love me and during this tough time period, I was able to be accepted and appreciated by 9 people that were in the class of 2019 and I hung out with them more and was showed appreciation by all these guys. Even karate taught me a thing or two to be social, relax. No matter of what I am or my brother is better, we both have futures we never give up by remaining positive, being friendly to people and following our dreams.

in case anyone was wondering, the binary at the beginning says, "new threat. robot master? And a shield? who is this guy? could.... could there be another? uh oh" reflected in blues' visor at 3:18 it just says protoman (on both sides) 4:55 it says "KILL" over and over in rock's eyes

You did an excellent job capturing the essence of this song and relaying the events that happened during 3. The high flying tensions, the feelings of betrayal, anger and deep melancholy. Blues' internal struggle is perfectly represented here, as is Rock's struggle to continue fighting - his own brother, of all people. This is by far my favorite animatic created for this song, and perhaps my favorite animatic ever created for any MM-based song whether it be Protomen or Megas.

There's a really good foundation here (and that's ultimately the point of animatics, a visualization so you can tweak what doesn't quite work) and it'd be really cool to see someone do a fully animated version of this. Also congrats on getting shared on The Megas page.

So I've been similarly obsessed with this tune the last few months. 'Street Cleaner' doing a remix of it recently damn-near gave me a heart attack. I used to imagine him getting more cracked / charred / unstable as the fight went on, but Proto 'repairing' himself (literally just patchjobs) is heartbreaking... Proto ripping his mask off at 5:19 is something else I always envisioned, still can't believe I actually *saw* it!

oh this was wonderful. Love the just physical blows in this animatic that I wasn't expecting due to how blaster heavy both characters are in game but Blues coming in with sucker punches really fits in with how rough he's feeling during this whole song. Also it's been said before but having Blues crying and running away while Rock watches his brother struggle with everything was really great!

Oh man, I've not seen anything regarding Megas in ages. Thank you for making this and posting this, but also damn you for ripping my heart out... You really captured the spirit of Blues here, I feel like. The movement is excellent even in animatic, the sheer pain is brilliantly expressed here. You managed to carry the story through the refrain without it feeling repetitive, too. Fantastic work.

shit why havent i seen this before? this is probably the best megas animatic out there, it looks amazing if i had to pick anything that was awkward about it though, i would say probably the speech bubbles seemed kinda of out of place, and also some of the movements wouldve been more effectively if they were better synced to the music ...also i had to hold back a laugh at 1:40 when the word HUMAN appeared behind proto man
