1st car 2013 kia forte (totaled by an idiot slamming into me while i was stopped at a light) 2nd car 2013 kia optima sxl (majorrrrr upgrade, had everything. 100% loved infinity sound system and panoramic roof. Went thru 4 engines😂 3 were blown by me using a chip tune without correct mods) 3rd and most recently purchased vehicle (2018 stinger gt2 awd, auction buy, needed a tranny, dealer put it in and got the car for cheap. Knock sensor 1 and 2 codes, few buttons like lock/unlock button not working, reverse cam not working, heat and cool seats not working. Im thinking its a body control module issue. [ Coolant temp not reaching operating temp so car doesnt go into closed fuel loop or sumn [either thermostat, engine coolant temp sens, or sumn like that. Aside from that, runs and drives, no misfires etc)

Yeah it was designed/refined by the head of the bmw M division it's not German engineering it's better it's Korean engineering with hints of German refinement, they had been making the V6 they used in the stinger for a while, as well as the 2.0 4 cylinder, they weren't new when Biermen came onto the team though that's for sure.

My turbo almost blew here’s how, bought the car 5 months ago, I start to hear air anytime I press on the gas hard (turbo trying to kick in) no dashboard light ever turned on, I take it to KIA DEALERSHIP they tell me they couldn’t figure it out and charges me 175 bucks for looking at the car and since they “found nothing” warranty wouldn’t cover it and I was out 175 bucks. I went across the street to a (discount auto repair shop), they found the problem within an hour and it turned out I had a loose clamp that was connected straight to the turbo literally getting ready to come out. All I had to pay for was diagnostics (90 bucks) and 10 dollars for the clamp, they told me it would have been thousands if my turbo had blown, This was a problem that the dealership I bought from (darcars Toyota) should have been able to find before selling me the 25k car. Feels and sounds 100x better now the mechanic during his test ride even showed me the potential of manual which I’ve started to learn because it does perform much better.

2022 gt1 with 51,000. Yes 51,000 miles. Stock. Well catch can and k&n filter. I drive it hard. Transmission and differential fluids were dark and glad I changed them at 25k. Had to do after market breaks pads and rotors. No tune. Great f****** car. Change oil at 3500k.

The car itself is assembled in Korea, but the engines and transmissions are made in the US. They moved engine manufacturing back to Korea for 2022.

I have a Stinger GT2 and decided against catch cans because honestly, with my ADHD I tend to be shit about maintenance things like that. I’m not letting myself slack with regular service lol…I’m at just under 5k and had my first service done over 1k miles ago. But I could totally see myself slacking with cleaning out the catch cans when needed and I feel like that’d be worse for the engine than not having any.

@samuraitoaster if you let them overfill then I can see how that could be an issue. You empty them with oil changes, so if you remember THAT then emptying the can shouldn't be an issue at all. There's always sludge, yes sludge in the can. If you feel comfortable having that circulate in your motor then by all means, it's your car. I had a catch can in my camaro ss as well, any di engine benefits from this.
