the beauty standard changes little by little in kpop, to better and for worse.. This can be noticed from female idols' visual that when from a graceful simple beauty like Eugene, Yoona, Suzy, Dara, Seolhyun, Jisoo to cutesy/animated beauty like Yuna, Sullyoon, Wonyoung, Karina, Irene. Two things that stay the same : skinny and double eyelids. Wonyoung and Karina are two of the popular beauty trend, cute and animated.

As someone who's jawline isn't symmetrical, I get to view my face from 2 angles that would have looked beautiful as 2 different person. But since I am one person, the condition made me look a bit weird. One side has a higher cheekbone and jawline also higher and sharper. The other side has lower cheekbone and jawline lower and more dull. I don't even know how to contour my face due to this. My siblings have the same problem but mine was quite severe. It's so noticeable. Even my spectacles need some adjustments done so it doesn't look slanted when placed on my ears. My parents don't seem to have such problem but us kids seem to inherit both parents jawline on each side of our face. It's like our DNA cannot decide which parents facial features should be dominant so they clash and put both features together. My big sister had my mom's more. I got both equally. My younger siblings start getting more of my father's features. The younger ones don't have such noticeable difference in facial structure between the left side and the right side. I'm glad my son's jawline is not like mine. His jawline seem level. I just hope his nose does not turn crescent like his dad after his dad tempered with his nose. His dad tempered with his forehead too and made his skull shape uneven on both the forehead and back head. Poor baby was forced to follow his dad's beauty standard. His dad is not part of our lives now, thank God for His help.
