Nobody wants to take your old cars (you wouldn't just hand them over anyway), just to stop production of new ones. I'm happy to see new electric cars and I'd like one myself, but I agree we need to find something else to power them besides a limited supply of lithium. Graphite would be nice. Anything sustainable.

I inherited my mother’s gas mower in 2001 that was already 20 years old. And it still fires right up and does the job. It was built in Canada with a Briggs & Stratton 4 stroke engine. I’m going to keep it until it blows up.

The M276 V6 twin turbo motor in that GLC43 is one of the more solid powerplants from recent Mercedes Benz. The M278 V8 twin turbo that is in some of their other cars has some issues with cylinder scoring.

Randy, I think you should have looked at the reviews on that mower the Ryobi, the $7999 one. They're not too good. Hopefully, you won't have the problems they did. That's an expensive mower. That's more expensive than all of them. Gas too

The police version and lower ends of the Taurus use 2 analog dials with a tiny lcd in the center that has basic functions, the ones with the technology package use the two big lcds on the outside and the big dial have an array of options from radio to climate and navigation on some models in the right side, the left side has all the driver focused controls like vehicle settings, maintenance, driver assist etc.

I bought the makita cordless lawn mower and I love it it's super light... It was $400 with 4 batteries and a dual charger and it will cut a quarter of an acre on a full charge. And they're stupid quiet you'll love it Randy

All my lawn equipment is EGO. I love not having to get gas and I can switch out the batteries. I thought about getting the riding lawnmower but I am moving and will have a smaller yard. I bet they are great though.

About the expired tags, lots of cars are abandoned on the streets without tags. Some are pretty nice, but people take the tags and walk away. Porsche, Prius, Civics, Subaru Outbacks, most are higher mileage but otherwise good. We call the city, they haul them away, and they're sold at auction.

in regards to the electric amazon vans, i am an amazon delivery driver through a DSP (delivery service partner) out in SoCal and at least our station doesn’t have the infrastructure to be able to charge the vans and our station isn’t willing to put them in. i’ve heard everything from them saying those vans are amazing best things ever to hearing people hate driving them. i’d take my gas powered freightliner step van or my gas ford transit 2500 over the whale (what us amazon drivers call the electric van) any day of the week

Bought a Ryobi battery mower. That didn't work out, battery couldn't do the whole lawn and extra batteries were ridiculously priced and 3 hrs to recharge the one battery i had. That's gone and I bought a gas Cub Cadet. Point is, they want us to rely on battery cars but they can't get a lawn mower right.

I suppose that depends on if you bought the right mower for the size of your lawn. Mine can handle 4 acres and I usually mow 2.5 acres. If I had bought the one that does 2 acres to save some coin I'd be in the same boat as you are. You have to buy the right tool for the job.

Hey Randy, good video and I'd like to mention that yesterday in my town here Rochester New York. They are building a plant that recycles lithium batteries of all kinds. I don't know all the details yet but it's going to be in one of the old Kodak complexes that are here. Sounds interesting. And as far as everything switching to electric, yes I can see lawn mowers and such. But when it comes to automotive I think both me and you will be dead by that time. We just don't have the grid to handle all that none of the infrastructure

Also, there's no reason for any government at any level "coming for your 69 Camaro", all they have to do is stop the sale of fuel and outlaw the private manufacture of the fuel. Then they'll all become giant paper weights.

I had a 2011 SHO. I bought it used with about 100k miles. I absolutely loved that car but the previous owner had beat it to hell. After about two years of trips to the mechanic I gave up and traded it in.

Randy, you're thinking of Cobalt, not lithium mining. Lithium mining isn't done by children, but it is strip mined. Biggest problem with electric is the infrastructure for charging and the supply of power, since the powers that be don't even want to use the cheapest and most abundant sources of energy.

There’s already legislation. No gas vehicles (new) from 2035. Here in Commifornia, no gas lawn equipment after 2025. In the same breath, they tell everyone to do all their chores after 9pm and not to charge their cars to protect the power grid. Some future!

It's really bad out here in Cali. Ppl no current plates = no insurance. 2 yrs no plates in california you can't tag it in california again. Ford expedition had the 3.5 we rented one of those in Dallas at the airport on a recent visit to okc/kcmo and it was awesome to drive. Give it some gas she gets up and goes. 23.5 mpg we got while on our trip.

Here’s my opinion on the videos I think you need to try to get two videos out a day if you can cause I love seeing them but if you don’t feel like doing that I guess one video a day would be efficient to do that’s up to you but I like seeing too but it’s your choice to do either one or two videos a day it’s your choice. and nobody can tell you different. I'm the ultimate grouchy old man who didn't like change. The battery stuff started with power tools. I was the guy who said I would never change from corded tools, now all of my tools are battery. Never would I buy a battery lawn mower, now I have two. There's no way I would ever buy another gas one. I'm making my stand on cars BUT if they ever produce an affordable electric city car like the $7000 cars produced in China. I'm probably going to break weak on that too. Even grumpy OLD men like convenience especially when it comes to power tools.

And that is honestly what it's all about for me: Convenience. My Cub Cadet is a great mower but it has belts, filters, fluids that all need maintained. My electric mower has 3 deck motors, 2 drive motors, and batteries. No maintenance other than blades.

Hi Randy. I love that Mercedes. But i would hate if anything went wrong with it. It would cost a small fortune to fix. I remember you buying that big yellow lawn mower lol and you putting it into a trailer lol. Petrol lawn mowers over here will cost you €600/700 Euros in Ireland. And Everything else is electric. Very Expensive. Your Mower will cost a Fortune here. Fair play to your Wife for getting stuck into mowing your lawns. And your lawn is Massive lol 😅😅. It's a great idea of yours to split up the mileage by driving different cars. It really saves your own truck which is brand new. I wish you luck in finding something practical. They' have the technology to make gas and diesel vehicles more efficient. This is all part of America selling out to China that produces a lot of the electric parts. And when an EV wrecks, most fire departments don't know how to handle it if there's a fire. FYI - when I was a kid I bought a push mower to make side money when I wasn't bagging groceries. Ten years after I bought it the engine died. I took the engine off, cleaned and painted the deck with Rustoleum and bought a replacement Briggs and Stratton engine. Sharpened and balanced the blade and it was good as new. It's sad we've become such a throw away consuming society. 👍🇺🇸😎
